one reason i see this not going is, valve doesnt make huge changes to the primary weapon. this would be a complete over hall, though i like it
He has a point, Valve would have to do a major dent in the abilities of this thing such as:
No crits (perhaps unless a certain condition was met, such as within 10ft)
Slower fire (probably a must)
Less health (Keep you medic alive at all costs)
Less accurate (is that possible)
Slower walking (the thing has to way a ton and the heavy is already slow)
Something else?

If you notice the meet the cast videos, 2/3 of the ones not released yet are classes that got updates. Could be a coincidence, but I think that there is a good chance spy is next, followed by sniper.

What can I say, I'm gullible. But as far as class, I'm thinking that they are gonna try and go for the least played first, which would mean scout, spy, then heavy, then sniper, Then again, I suppose you could be right. Its all speculation for now, that is unless they leave a filing hint at the next class like they did for pyro.
I got this from somethingawful.com forums, where robin walker, a tf2 dev, is a member and regularly makes posts about upcoming patches.
In fact, this tf2 developer interview linked below from about 3 weeks prior talks about "re-defining" the heavy class. While it dosent explicitly say theyre adding in a "portable bofors cannon" it does imply that they are definitely remaking the heavy's minigun into something with a little more punch.

i still think spy update day is going to be the worst day ever in tf2. everyone in the server stealthing and trying to back stab each other? its totally going to kill the game for like 2-3 days. but sniper on the other hand...im looking forward to that one SO much
Yeah, this new gun doesn't seem unreasonable for the heavy. I imagine by the looks of it that it will be a tradeoff of more damage per round, and more accurate, but a slower firing rate. Will require more skill and less spray-n-pray.

Hmm. Spy day will be a good day to work on pyro achievements, though.
Thats also another lil coincidence. People playing pyro all the sudden helps medic achievments. People playing spy later will help pyro achievments. People playing sniper will help with spy achievments. I think tahts another way they might do it.
so goin by Pros' logic, the next updates could be (in this order) -
spy (help pyros)
sniper (help spy)
heavy (help sniper)
scout (help heavy)
soldier (help scouts [unless its herron-like people out there])
demoman (just because, i mean, it only KINDA helps soldiers, but it helps the order.)
engy (helps demoman AND soldier)
and then thats all of them.
tbh, apart from engy being last, i like that order, even though engy isnt in my top three most played, im so looking forward to the hopefully new engineer buildings.
