Anyone getting it next week?

So I have decided to break down and pick up the game next week. Just coming off my second round of WoW addiction, going into another MMO is prolly a bad idea but I am doing it anyway. I plan on playing Destruction as my main and was wondering if anyone else around here was going to play so maybe we could pick a single server for SF regs to play Destruction on.

I'm playing open beta right now as Destruction, it's pretty fun. I've got a few other guys I'll be rolling with I will let you know when we figure out a server.

my friend plays the beta, and it's already consuming his life. i highly recommend not starting this as any other logical person would recommend staying away from WoW.

3) Tippo, im sure it's not gonna be as bad, it's prolly your friend, some people just have overly addictive natures, i played WoW for 2 years, quit 3 times during the process and never even reached top level with one character, because i never cared for it, it was - quite frankly - quite boring, fun, but boring. (that makes sense somehow...)

i probably wont be picking this game up next week though, i have college starting next week so i wanna focus my attention on that for a bit first haha.

Well after 3 failed install attempts and the working install taking about 2 hours I was finally able to play a bit. I just picked a random server to get a feel for the game. So far I am liking it... except for that fact that every hour or so it crashes my computer.

weird, mine just tends to lag like crazy when theres alot of people on screen, which is bullshit since i have more than double the required specs to run this game. im gonna run it by tec support to make sure whats causing it

other than that i started on wurtbad

made myself a maurader and a sorceress, really fun classes to play

I'm up to level 11. I've got a zealot so I'm teh healbotsss. I do decent dps but am almost impossible to kill unless I get zerged so RvR is pretty fun.

yeah i made a squig herder during the beta, funny little guy insanely useful in pve but man i couldnt kill a damn thing in rvr

whats fun with the squig herder is the squig armor and just charging a group of order people and seeing them scatter like WTF IS THAT OMG

I finally have the game playing more or less stable. Just logged a lil over 3 hours on Drakwald, Destruction a Shaman. Really enjoying it so far.

One thing I find myself questioning is how useful professions really are in this game. Other than making Talismans, I don't see myself using the other ones at all.

butchering and apothocary is useful as a marauder i just go slay boars and and crap to get potion stabilizers and make loads of strength potions i just sell all the other crap i butcher

I only look at the recently updated threads on the front page, which doesn't indicate where a thread is, also the sheer retarded-ness of a sub forum devoted entirely to an MMO is hard for me to grasp.
