well i was messing around and decided to map a differetn kind of map
since portal ia a puzzle game itself i wanted to bring some of that into tf2.
this will be a 6 cap puzzle map.
red defending and blu is attacking.
the first two caps are in the opening stage of "Portal"
the first puzzle is you have to cap the point and then have one person stay as the "Button" man. to open the door.
Pick wisely because he/she will be attcking the button room for the next cap.
In order to get to the cap a button has to be pressed. then, a door will open.
the way to get to the "Button" Room is though the spawn. but both red and blue spawns go stright to the room.
red also has to press the button to get to the cap, to defend it.
The next stages are in the works.

lol yea if you have played portal it is basically what you have to do there. but you have to fight red while doing it. :D

GLADoS is the AI Boss you fight in the end, the one who killed everyone else.

well i found it but it has a lot of work to do.... (portal props are not good in tf2)

GLADoS is the AI Boss you fight in the end, the one who killed everyone else.
And also the one that talks during the game giving instructions to you as you play through the levels.

are you directly importing the map from the portal files into hammer and modifying it from there? Not sure if that goes against copywrite policies or anything. I doubt anyone would make you take it down, I'm just saying...
Hopefully this one turns out good. I think you rushed your last one to the final release without giving it enough time for input.

needs companion cubes. LOTS of 'em. Can you make them moveable? That would be the shizzle.

E. it isnt i checked that. the textures and props cannot be used in any other map. Thats why they were all errors and there was no textures.

OK
so change of plans
this will be a intel map. modeled after avanti a little.
In the briefing:
After (whatever her name is) destroyed GLAdos, team red stumbled across the ruins. they decided to start rebuilding her for a chance to rule the world once more. Now blue who has found out about this plan has to stop it.
The intel. (bomb in this case, lol pun) has to go to 4 different rooms. In the rooms are the generators and control rooms for GLAdos. they have to blow up all 4 to unlock the GLAdos room. After they do that, then they have to destroy the portion of GLAdos that red has built.

E its not against policies, Valve actually made a few guides on how to take the maps from the game cache files and decompile the .bsp's back into .vmf's which is what i did (ya i did it for him), so theres no trouble there, its what i also did for dust2 ^^.
Ikem man that looks great, and i love the ideas you have with the button pushing and keeping in touch with the puzzle elements of portal, keep this up!
Also side note: if anyone wants any portal/tf2/css maps so that they can see how something is done or because they want to modify it, just drop me a pm if you cba to do it yourself :sign0100:

This idea looks really cool and has a lot of potential. keep it up, so far it sounds awesome.
