God, I'd love to join, but my worklife makes it so prohibitive right now.

I know it sounds pretty long-term, but by the end of the calendar year, I will almost certainly have a MUCH freer schedule (and maybe even by the end of October or so), and in the meantime, I'd love to scrim, watch, and learn.


I'm very confident in my abilities as a Pyro, Medic, and Demo, and would gladly spend as much time as possible honing my skills.

I consider myself a good medic and i've gotten incredibly good at soldier, i also play pyro really well. Right now i'm in the process moving out and finding a new job so things are hectic right now. Last time I've been in a clan was way back in the days of counter-strike 1.6 and before (#3 team on OGL). I miss competing in matches and would like to do that again and TF2 is a game I play enough to be interested in that again. I'm willing to learn whatever you teach me and practice any time I can.

Me and Jokerz make a bad ass Medic/Soldier combo or Medic/Pyro combo, we can communicate really well.

I was in #wildcard until recently but the majority decided they didn't want to play TF2 competitively anymore. I'm still in CSE (our counter-strike division) but would like to compete in TF2 in any way, shape, or form.

- I can make any scrim/match as long as it is after 7ishpm EST and i dont mind being backup.
- I use ventrilo everyday and i have a mic

My top 2 classes are scout and spy, followed by pyro and possibly medic.

Overall im a smart player that wants to join a hardcore team that wants to put in the time and effort to get a win, and it seems like TKO fits that description.

im ok at heavy, think i do well at soldier - scout IS my favorite class to play as but i feel my ability is more dependant on the map then most other classes - kind of need open spaces to rock it with the scout

Anyone is free to try out at any time. Our starting roster is pretty solid right now, but we are definitely looking for backups who can fill in when we don't have a full 6.

I will say that it's very competitive though and will be extremely difficult to get a spot. And that's not meant to discourage anyone at all, just making sure people know.

Everyone take this with a grain of salt.
One major factor that contributed to them winning the scrim was teamwork. Play together for long enough things become natural and you understand what to do and when to do it.

There are people that play on SF that would have the skill to play competitively, they first need the knowledge of what that really means.

Maybe you guys just want to hop in and play and have some fun and all, which is perfectly cool and all (heck I love doing that too). But I think that it'd be a good exercise for the Stompfest team to sign up for spots early to have an opportunity to do a little bit of strategy talking before the game. It helps things to be well-organized.

I think those of you who played with us last time know that we played better on Granary than Dustbowl, and that's because we don't have a strat for Dustbowl. It really isn't played competitively, so while we had a loose feeling for what we wanted to do, we definitely didn't have a defined strategy. We basically just went in and tried to kill everyone. On Granary, we have a pretty refined strategy and I think the difference was pretty clear.

This game more than any other relies on strong teamwork. Not that big of a deal in a 32 man instant respawn server, but with only 6 per team with full respawn, you need good teamwork to prevent your guys from dying. Plus if you're anything like us, you'll enjoy drawing out a strategy and seeing how closely you can stick with it when it really starts to hit the fan.
