If you could give any class a weapon or ability from any other class, what would it be and why would it make that class pwn?
for me i would definately have to say give the heavy the spy's ability to cloak just because it would be freaking awesome. imagine seeing a fatty uncloak right behind an unsuspecting sniper and instead of a subtle backstab...they get completely mowed down, maybe even crit shotted. or imagine him singing while he was invisible, you can hear him, but you cant see him.... invisible fatty FTW

It causes more damage and doesn't have distance fall off, but it's an inferior weapon.

Heavy with each of the following -
Miniguns that light you on fire.
Sentry gun and dispenser on his back.
the Medigun.
Runs as fast as scout with 500 hp and has a triple jump.
On a lighter note.
Snipers with no freakin charge time.
And the pyros compression to shoot him up.

I'd like to see Scouts charge their (initial) jump by crouching, a la Toad in Super Mario Bros 2.
Spies being able to taunt while disguised would be <3.
Oh, and dispensers should heal enemies as well (as opposed to just restocking ammo).
EDIT: But I guess those are all technically off-topic. I'd like to see Heavies who can backstab.

With their rocket launcher, soldiers are actually one of the most mobile classes in the game. Slow movement speed doesn't hurt at all if you're a halfway competent soldier.

With their rocket launcher, soldiers are actually one of the most mobile classes in the game. Slow movement speed doesn't hurt at all if you're a halfway competent soldier.
I think we will inevitably disagree on this point. :) I guess it depends if you have a medic with you all the time or not.

Give the demo a sniper rifle and you have a godly class.
Long range is the only thing a good demo doesn't completely pwn in. Also, sticky-jump no-scopes would be badass.

Stop suggesting silly things for my beloved black scottish cyclops! The demoman's greatest weakness is not long range (the pipes can go pretty damn far with enough trajectory and the stickies can go really far with enough charge-up) - plus I can sticky-jump very far to deal with long range threats. The natural enemies of the demoman are pyros and scouts. Hence the rocket launcher to solve that problem.

You are right, short range is the achilles heel of the demo. Yes, the pipes go far but are definitely not an option long-range for anything other than spamming a certain area. Stickies are a great long-range option for the demo but don't do enough damage because of the slow rate of fire. You'd rather close in on that person and do some serious damage mid-range.
For you it would probably be a flamethrower in addition to your stickies and pipes. For me... having an insanely lethal long range weapon as a demo would outclass having short range defense for a scout and a pyro.

Considering spy is one of my better played classes(other than the demo), I would like to see:
1. While cloaked being able to run as fast/faster than the scout.
2. Duelies(like css)? As in 2 6-shooters? Can he not hold anything in the other hand, or what? Is the hand broken?
3. Should be able to strap a bomb on people..like snake(MGS 1?) and either have a timer or a remote detonate.
4. Should be able to 100% crit THROW the knife. Not insta-kill, but something. Maybe 75, 100, or 125hp damage?

For demos I just want some type of other gun... a pistol even, for the love of someones god...
To me giving them a rocket launcher just means people can't do artillery-type aiming.... it's just angles, distance, and time.... has no one but me played games like Scorched Earth or freaking Worms 1,2,3, or 3d?

For heavies, even though it isn't another classes ability, perhaps a sprint? Come on, despite his size he should be able to run, but like a (no offense to anyone, and I used to be one as well) fat kid - only so far.
Kinda like HL2's sprint(shift), and in the same sense wayyy more limited(time) amount of sprinting can be done.
Perhaps change the speed/amount of sprint for each class given their pre-set movement, and only to the ones who now already don't appear to be running(ex: soilder, demo, heavy, but not the scout, medic, or sniper)
Like the heavy would run faster than any other class w/the sprint function, but only over a much shorter distance.
This could be used to run in to kill, or to run out to not be killed.
Would still follow class- as in normally it goes slow-to-fast= heavy, soldier
, demo so the sprint would be the opposite for speed and sprint time, but they would all be evened.

I agree with the sniper always criting, but only if you don't move, or like in css(your aiming is better while crouched, so crouch to always be able to crit no matter how fast you shoot)

But only that they would jump psycho-high, as if they sticky-jumped.
For me not being serious, a scout with a non-ACompressor flamethrower. Who can also cloak. And mob-style boink you with the bat instead of backstabbing, which wouldn't kill you(just leave you on the ground unconscious, IDK about getting back up though, the animations that is, perhaps hit the jump button). When this happens it also leaves your vision blurred for a sec.

lolz, had some of the ideas in my head for a while, especially after watching some of those fan vids(like the scout bomb one)
Honestly the sprint one seems feasible for valve to do, but of course if they did they'd mess it up.
And I didn't mean any sort of long distances. More like a mini burst.

In all seriousness, I think a small buff to spy that would really improve gameplay would be to make his cloak lose charge slowly when he's standing still. It could change up how a lot of people play spy and it would be a small buff to help with the fact that spies are somewhat underpowered.

On another note, the Nade launcher is NOT more powerful then the Rocket Launcher. I can hit most classes with 3 nades with no kill. Nade launcher also requires your actually HIT your target to be effective. Soldiers would get even more kills if they did more then jump and shoot at the ground. When they shoot the ground they are only hitting the target with splash damage. If a nade misses it's target the target can just run past it and avoid any damage at all.

Engy with Spies Cloak.
Spy with sapper from tfc where the sapper would turn the sentry against the team who built it.
Sniper with the health of a heavy and stickies so that it could sticky jump to 1337 sniping spots.
Spy with portal guy.
Sniper with medigun combined into his sniper rifle for long range healing (someone on 2fort suggested this, i thought it was epic lolz)

On topic, though, I agree with Jmaster299 that the heavy should have the scout's speed. Imagine trying to defend against a bunch of bunny-hopping heavies who can flank a whole team in and instant.

Pyro wants a sticky launcher! Think, you place your sticky trap, then chase someone into it. Stickys let you jump just about anywhere.
Alternatively, as a pyro I would love to be able to cloak. When spies uncloak in the thick of things, chances are they get 2 backstabs tops or maybe some good saps. If a pyro uncloaked in the middle of a group of baddies... wtfomgbbq all over again.:fighting0066::party0019:
