Ah hell...I wish I would just save these posts as this must be the 10th different forum I have done an Introduction Thread on.

Anyways, as you might already know from my 5 Things post I am 26 years old, currently live in Kenosha, WI and am a huge Stargate fan. Some may also figure out that from my screen name that I am a Star Wars fan JMaster=Jedi Master. The 299 referres to the short hand designation for the plane I learned how to fly in. A Piper Cherokee 180 N15299. Yes I am a licensed pilot but do it for fun. Beyond shooting people in video games I enjoy shooting in real life. I have fired everything from a pistol to a fully automatic M-16.

My life growing up was not a fun one but interesting. Parents split when I was 8 and both have since married other people and have created a fucked up family dynamic. I have a brother, a sister, two step-sisters, three step-brothers and two half-brothers. At 18 I graduated St. John's Military Academy in Delafield, WI. I was not a problem kid but my cousin was and my rich Uncle offered to send me and two of my brothers there so off our parents sent us. I was accepted into Purdue University's Aeronautical Maintenance program to become a Jet Mechanic but my Father gambled my student loan money away in Vegas and I had to leave after one semester do to unpaid housing bills. My Father no lives in Vegas...go figure.

I moved up here to WI almost a year ago with so I can get back into school. There is a Tech College here where I can get a two year IT degree for $6000. About two years ago I bought my POS Dell and that sparked my need to learn everything I can about computers and I found I really enjoy it. Lesson learned I will never buy another unpowered impossible to upgrade POS Dell EVER again, or any other pre-built system, except a laptop eventually.

Beyond all that I spend most my free time parked at my desk. Not something that is too uncommon in this crowd I am guessing. Now if I could only get my work to let me tele-commute then I would be set. It can be set up fairly easy but they are just so damn stubborn.

Me firing an AR-15:

This was after I had already shot the fully auto M-16 at a range in Vegas. The AR-15 belongs to a cop buddy of my dad. This picture was taken in the mountains of California. If it wasn't for the shooting I would never have stepped foot in that state.

My crap Dell that has reached it's limits of upgrading:

POS BTX design and STUPID plastic shroud that can't be removed as it supports the CPU heatsink instead of the heatsink being mounted to the MB like a normal FRAKING computer! Don't let the cables fool you, bitch runs plenty cool.

Frak reference should also tell you I am a BSG fan...that and my spray of Grace Park's fine robot ass!!!

Hi! Sorry, I'm too lazy to reassemble your life into a chicflick, like I did with Clark's. XD

Work and TF2 at the same time! <sf>
I do this every Friday, actually. TF2 on my desktop, running reports on the work notebook... it works well enough.

EDIT: To stay on topic... do you hunt, or just shoot inanimate objects?

Maybe you could give it the Harlequin Romance touch for something a little different.

By the way JMaster, big Star Wars freak (I suppose thats accurate, sad but true) myself, and plugging along with an HP that I've maxed out as well. My sympathies, my wife has a Dell POS, which explains why she uses my computer instead of hers, most of the time. My crappy computer is not as craptacular as hers.

Never been hunting but I'd like to at some point. For now I settle for my paper enemies. This is pic is of some target practice with my .44 Magnum, the same gun as Dirty Harry!
This guy had a REALLY bad day!

I have that and .357 that also takes .38 rounds plus my trusty 12 gage. I prefer my revolvers over automatics and always go with something guaranteed to stop the other guy.

Nice thing was I was there for Drew Brees's Senior year so I got to see some good games. Even ran into him once on campus which was cool.

That kid played great until he got hurt. After that he was never the same and it carried over into the NFL. Of all the Boliermaker's the Bears could have picked up they skip Brees and get Grossman a year later. Brees even said during his senior year that he would like to play on a Midwest team like the Bears because he spent so much time in the area during school. We had to suffer through the Grossman rollercoaster and Kyle Orton was not a big help and Brees comes on the market again and again the Bears pass on him. He is not the best QB ever but he's good and better then anything we have had to deal with in the last 20 years.

Shooting single action REALLY helps when firing a gun with that much kick back. You also learn how the gun pulls, I know for me it pulls up and right so I aim low and left. It just shows you to NEVER try and rob my house!

What range/distance were you firing at? 50 yards I presume? If so, that is damn nice shooting for a pistol. Some people don't understand how innaccurate pistols are. The .44 is an "8 minute weapon"...meaning that if you aim at the exact same spot, firing from 100yards, the spread of the bullets will be up to 8 inches from the center of aim (this does not include wind or bullet-drop considerations). So for 50 yards, perfect aim will get your bullets within a 4-inch-radius circle. By comparison, the M-16 is a "3 minute weapon".

This is why I laugh at movies where people shoot a pistol and hit perfectly from 200+ yards away.

I've never had a day THAT good at 150 feet. This was at about 50-60 feet I'd say. I'm not going for impossible shots but I am trying to shoot at what I am more likely to run into like shooting someone in my house.

Got to give most of the credit to our in house Medics. Spiral REALLY helped me jump 4 spots tonight keeping me alive on Gravelpit. Also thanx to all the people who throw themselves against my mini-gun and sticky traps.
