I really need to suck it up and do that with an old computer I have. I'm about to whip the shit outta this Linksys. *^#$*^#$*^#$*^#$ing thing.

Do it Vir, i still am using my linksys' as my wireless APs but they jsut cant handle the pressure from my main rig. the install is as easy as it gets with clarkconnect, and they have so much for ya to do with it. just go to clarkconnect.com and get the community edition ISO. most of the work can be done via web interface from another computer as well

Isn't it illegal to toss computers in the garbage? I know it is for monitors and tvs.

Still nice little find there. I could just use my dad's comp for stuff like that if i wanted, because he hardly uses it.

the dumpster to us is a 5 foot carton that goes to an electronics recycling company somewhere far far away.

and if you used your dads pc, hed never be able to use it it becomes a specific purpose machine

What's the length of setup time? I'm also getting ready to tackle a MythTV and/or LinuxMCE setup and if I do to much weird shit at once my GF goes all godzilla and tries to hurt me :(

It takes less than an hour to install, and all you need is a keyboard, about 5-10 min to configure install by choosing modules you want (basic routing, web server, ftp, vpn...) another 10 for the disk format and file install. and then about 30 to configure what you want. DHCP has to be turned on manually from the computer on first boot and it will take a little while to get your dns settings, but after that is all ezmode. and fun too! i can get some pics of the web interface if youd like

also it has intrusion detection that doesnt like TF2, but its a add ip to table fix.
