Just wondering who here is excited about this game and who has played the previous ones. I'm a big fan of the series and with Bethesda making it (makers of Oblivion) it should be fantastic. The V.A.T.S system looks pretty badass too where you can pause combat and select where you want to target your hit on your enemy.

I'm certainly looking forward to it. The screenshots look phenomenal. In a ways, it looks like it will play like Oblivion in some ways, meaning first person while wandering through the world. The art work of the characters actually looks like it would post apocalyptic. I am definitely getting this when it comes out!

1 and 2 are the best rpgs ever made for any system. Period. I hope that 3 won't let them down.

Yeah I can't wait either. 1 and 2 were awesome. Tactics was :sign0003:. I have faith Bethesda will do the series well. I'm ready for it to drop.

I really hope I don't have to break out my "Set sail for fail." banner on this one. I'm really excited about it but I'm very apprehensive about giving my heart to it. There are just to many unknowns with these major projects lately like Diablo III, Starcraft II, and Fallout III. *sigh*

Oh my god I'm sooo stoked for this game and I've never even played Fallout 1, 2, Tactics or Brotherhood of Steel.

What strokes my game boner on this one is the whole idea of consequence. Design your character and the game will procedurally generate what your father looks like. What? Your father? Who cares right? Well the GAME STARTS AT BIRTH! Any decision you make can or will effect the outcome.

So yeah having no context for this game this is still my big must buy simply because it's so conceptually interesting.

Special Edition copies will include a Vault Boy Bobblehead :sign0100:http://fallout3.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/39864273-mvc-001f.jpg

I'm most likely going to buy it for PC for the graphics and the other ones were PC, but I'm curious as to how many people are going console over PC and which console

You must be talking about Elder Scrolls, and by 1 and 2, you mean 3 and 4. Well, I've never played 3, but 4 (Oblivion) is the shizznit as far as RPGs go.

No he is talking about fallout 1 and 2 which at this point in time are rather old but they were awesome. I will say all of the elder scrolls rpgs are really good too and Planetscape Torment has to be up there in all time best rpgs too

If you can play TF2 on your computer, you should be able to run Oblivion - just not necessarily with all the eye candy. There are a lot of graphics options you can turn off (mainly drawing the landscape up to a certain distance) and it still looks great. I ran it on a 6800 Ultra.
