DIPRIP- the "twisted metal of steam", my dubbing.
Must have HL2 to use/play.
From their site (http://diprip.com/news.php5):
"D.I.P.R.I.P. is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer total conversion. Gameplay is based on vehicle combat in various post-war environments. Vehicles use multiple weapon mounts which are activated by finding weapons scattered around the battle grounds. Planned game types are deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag. There will also be a possibility to enable players to upgrade their vehicles' weapons and subsystems through the use of a 'money for damage' system. "
They even stated a "payload" style gameplay, your team defending/attacking the other's tanker to a certain location. Goldrush meets Twisted Metal.
I like it very much, the demo is limited, but there's no time limit. There's also around 10 servers just for the demo vrs. alone.
I don't think the full version is out yet, either.
The graphics in this game are just amazing- my comp can't handle them being all the way up, just like TF2. Textures are astounding, light reflecting off concrete/cobblestone is amazing, as well as the water-IMO better than HL2. Even turned down to medium the graphics look great.
Best for someone who can run TF2 high-graphics flawlessly.
EVERYTHING except buildings are destroyable.
DIPRIP gameplay example (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5x30j_diprip_videogames), bad quality vid, but shows the gameplay better than the trailer does- and no music.
