One day it goes down and is never put back up. Did I miss an announcement or something?

TF2 uses a shitload of bandwidth. We overshot our bandwidth cap quite a bit by adding that server, so we need to purchase more in order to re-open it. It will come back online once we do this. Only problem is that it's pretty expensive.

I love Bill and Ted! They had a most excellent adventure through medieval England battling the Royal Ugly Dudes.
"Put them in the Iron Maiden"
"All Right, Iron Maiden!" *air guitar*
"Execute Them!"
"way lame"
Actually, I was thinking the same thing as Spyro, thought the IP changed on me again...
lol @ Kilz, now I have to go watch that movie again :)

Don't mean to change the subject, but if it comes back, will it be Alltalk once again?
I hope so.. If not, I'm gonna make it Alltalk when I'm there anyways :D

Jokerz was saying how he disabled it because some people felt alienated, or something like that. Which is pretty lame, imho

Alltalk IS lame but if it were to be on I'd just go to one of the other servers. I can see it being fun when it's just a group of regulars but I think it is more of a distraction for regular pub games. To each their own though....

With 3 other servers though, how can it be a distraction for "pub" gamers? The night a bunch of us were on the alltalk servers was one of the better nights of tf2 in recent memory. I'm not trying to plug another community that I used to play on that rhymes with Piggly used to have alltalk and those guys were all really good as were the other players.
as for feeling alienated, turn of voice chat or throw down an internet meme and you're good to go :anim_32:

In general, I think alltalk is well-liked with the regulars and not so much with the newcomers. It depends on who we're aiming to please with the new server because there's no chance that it will always be filled with regulars. There are always more visitors than regulars.
Personally the only way I like alltalk is if there are a lot of people I know on the server, otherwise I don't really feel the urge to talk much. And the games almost always have to been just fun shooting since it's so hard to communicate any kind of strategy.
Why Valve didn't make a Team Talk button and an All Talk button I'll never figure out.

I wish there was some way to donate money to Stompfest without using Paypal (unless Paypal can be done using a disposable prepaid debit card.)

Nope... they have debit cards, but not the disposable variety. What's wrong with a normal PayPal transfer?

I think he's trying to say if he can pay paypal with disposable CC... and yes you can. Vista/MC is just that. They cannot discriminate. The downside of using the bank acct to backup paypal is if there is a dispute, they have the athuority to lock your bank account and you won't be able to get money out until it's resolved. Pretty ghey, but it "should" only happen to ppl who have abused paypal to take money for goods and services and were not provided.

Can I just send Dianne a parcel with cash? (Bills with non-sequential serial numbers.)

Could just send some money to me and I'll make sure it gets to the right place ;)
