One day too late. My current mouse is *^#$*^#$*^#$*^#$ed up for some reason. It keeps spazzing out, and it's annoying. Especially when I'm running through a base with their intel. :/

dunno i was looking at that last night, but i think mine is Still a bit better
MS 6000 Wired Laser (aug 2005, 3 yrs and still going)
I dont think Razor is a good "gaming" equipment producer. People buy it bc of the lit up lizard and shit like that

if I wanted a lit up lizard, I'd mod some circuit boards, leds, and plastic together to make the logo. I almost got the deathadder after AIT, buddy had one and it was pretty good of a mouse for CoD4, but when I got home and used my g5 (1st model) I fell back in love.. and now I have the new model g5.
Functionality and confort over style any day.

Agreed, use whatever feels good to you. I've been using Microsoft Optical Blue since I started gaming. I'm onto mouse #3 right now.....
Case in point: diM uses a Microsoft ball mouse.

You guys are stuck in the past. Doesn't take long to get used to a new mouse. I too am lovin' my new G5. I can actually snipe halfway decent now. Not great, but then, I don't play sniper much. And in regards to the comments about a "light" mouse, the G5 is very light, and comes with optional weights you can put in. I have a total of 18g of weight added to mine so it doesn't slide around too easily (I don't use a mouse pad).

I'm thinking of ditching this mousepad alienware gave me with my lappy til my parents send out my big purplepeopleeater of a mousepad. Love that thing. I've got 6.8g in mine right now and it's meh.. I pop out the weights every now and again and it's almost like playing with a new mouse.. it's so light. or feels that way compared to having the weights in.

i used to play with a ball mouse until last year... they're better for gaming, no doubt. all oldfa.gs who played cs in the day used a ball mouse and our max resolution was 800x600. it took me a while to switch to 16x10 and get used to a laser mouse. that being said, i'm much worse than i was 5 years ago... lol so obviously i did something wrong.

probably has more to do with fewer n00bs playing CSS these days.

no, it has to do with more noobs playing CS:S. i don't think you grasp the concept of a newbie. lol
look up Team NiP, Team 3D and SK Gaming to start. read what they used for resolution, mouse, keyboard, monitor and systems.
they are far from noobs.
the noobs took over.

they also practice alot.. instead of just pubbin it like these kids nowadays.
their game specs are insane though.. they have stuck to their 1.6 res/options in source because it's whats most known to them. Home is where the heart is kind of thing.

yes.. you did something horribly wrong.. you went to 16x10. ;p ;p ;p
no need for a res that high.. 10x7 is good or I use 1440x900 because I like the wide screen action!

1680x1050 is teh sh!t. But as I've pointed out before, it's best to run a high res on a smaller-dimensions monitor. That is, for the normal eye-to-monitor distance, I feel like you start going into peripheral vision on the sides.
