Fireworks, while they are fun to watch or shoot off, I personally find it freaking annoying when im sitting on my comp or watching TV and suddenly I hear firecrackers, or a big boom....Last year I remember I got pissed off extremely, I wonder what will happen this year, maybe I might get on ventrilo so everyone can hear my spazzing :P

lol im not a massive fan of fireworks either, when i was like 6-12 it was like "OMFG YAY FIREWORKS HAHA!" now im just...kinda annoyed by the constant sound of them being shot off for about 15 hours non-stop.
i like going to the shows just for food and seeing friends tho.

lol, i never had a issue with the 4th. its just another day off of work, but with pay.

this year will be interesting as this is the first 4th that im home for since coming home from Iraq. i found myself a little jumpy, but not as bad as people would think.

i can deffinitly hear all the booms. every tiny and all the big ones. it is surprising how much a IED looks like a 4th of july firework.

only thing I hate about them is my new puppy is afraid of anything outside, lol. I learned this lastnight while firecrackers were going off.

I'm probably just gonna play really really loud music to overplay her barking >.<

Wow seriously?? That sucks.

Yea I don't have a problem with the big fireworks shows. I was at the taste of chicago on the lakefront and they had a really nice show.

LOL bro fireworks are illegal here in MN too, atleast bottlerockets, firecrackers, etc. Only legal ones are the ones you set on the ground and light. But like everyone smuggles them over from Wisconson.

Police couldn't really give less of a shit around 4th of July.

Well even before they legalized the ones you set on the ground here about 5 years ago, people still smuggled fireworks and cops only did something about it if people were shooting them off later than 10

Cops came to my fireworks =( but they let us off the hook and said we'll allow it this year, but next year have a permit. Then he sat down and watched out show. Best cop ever

Could be worse. I just arrived in Tennessee with my wife and son. My wife wanted to come down and visit a friend for the weekend. We live about an hour outside of Chicago. Last weekend we were at Disney World. 2 weekends shot w/ no TF2. Arrgghhh! My wife hates me. Bad enough I've had people launching fireworks for the last 2 weeks everynight til aout 10:30 or 11:00 in my subdivision , but this lack of weekend play is killing me.Pity me and my lack of a gaming PC til Sunday night.

First day in Tennessee. Where do we go? To Lynchburg, the Jack Daniels manufacturing plant to be more specific. Irony is one of my favorite drinks being made in a dry county. And to make things worse, no free samples. We saw the whole tour, it was beautiful. The fireworks stands are about every 500 ft along the road, most stores and gas stations sell em to. It's no wonder you can't buy booze here on the 4th of July. While I personally like fireworks (once a year) this place scares me. There are some scary people down here, throw in booze and explosives . . . Well, let's just say I won't mind if we skip the whole thing this year. I'll gladly toast our countrys Birthday in private (over a shot of Jack)

Wisconsin FTW! :D Yes, legal to sell/buy fireworks here, but if I'm not mistaken, you can't actually use them here without a permit (that may be by county/ordinance and not state, tho). But there's a difference between what's not legal and what's actually enforced. I used to shoot fireworks off around the forth as a kid all the time and never had the popo pay us a visit. BUT, speaking of fireworks, time to take my kid to see the town's show...

Maybe when you're old enough to drink alcohol, fireworks will be fun again.
