so i wake up this morning and i feel like playing a bit of tf2 i load up my game but alas...all my favorites have been deleted? and my history erased? so no big deal i say, i grab the IP's and try to connect manually but no luck! SF servers seem to be eluding me, so i try to join a random much less interesting server and that works just fine!

so, i pose a conundrum to ye, a riddle if you will. wtfm8? why cant i connect to SF servers

We didn't miss you.

I'm kidding of course.

Something like this happened to me, all it took was a restart of my computer and everything was cool.

True dat.

So it's obvious your internet connection isn't messed up. Seeing how you are available to access the site just fine. What about reinstalling Steam? I know it's a pain in the ass to download everything again. But it could help?

It's in his public profile - I just checked the VAC Cheater list and Sourcebans and did not find him listed in either, so I don't think he's been banned unless I'm unaware of another place to check. Besides, I would imagine he would get some error message indicating that he's been banned (disconnected by console?). I don't think a ban would cause him to not see the servers at all. I would think just restarting Steam would fix this.

I can't find the servers either, actually. Just about to manually re-add the IP addresses to see if it helps me. This really sucks, other servers are still full of complete newbs for the end of the Free Weekend. :(

Any error message at all? A screenshot of what you're seeing might help, too.

I can't find them on any search, they've disappeared from my favourites list, and even though I can see that many of my Friends List peoples are in-game on a Stompfest server (only 'cause I know the IP addresses), it shows "Server is not responding" and won't give me any server info, like name, players, etc.

I've manually re-added the addresses, but no luck. Even the new server JokerZ posted about on the main page won't add as a new server to my favourites. QFT is me! :(

EDIT: Oh, and as far as I know, no firewall settings have been changed in the last 48 hrs. on this computer, so I'd rule that out for me.

Yeah, something is really fudged up with the internet the past few days. Certain sites are really really really slow. Like more than 10min to load slow. I did a bunch of tracerts to several sites yesterday and it would time out around chicago I think. Anyone know whats up?
