I got mine for $20 on sale. List price is $100, but many merchants sell it for $50-$70.

Pros:
Huge ear pieces, crisp sound in game, very good mic, comfortable to wear.

Cons:
Sound could be better when listening to music.

This headset got my attention because it was on such a big sale, so I decided to buy it.

Appearance:
The headset has a rather standard appearance, two ear pieces connected with a half circle head band and a adjustable mic on the left side.

The ear pieces on this headset are very large so they circle around your ear and have a very soft material over them and the same material on the head band, making them very comfortable.

The mic almost feels like a piece of copper wire or something (hard to describe, feels like metal) but it is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit your head/face.

Another difference between most headsets is that the cord that comes from your sound device to your headset splits at about the chest area and leads to each ear piece, meaning it doesn't go to one side and then have a wire leading through the headband to the other side. Which is good if something happens to the headband and sound on the other side gets cut off.

Performance:
This headset thus far has been very good in gaming, but only par when listening to music. I can't quite put my finger on it, almost like i has less bass and more treble for gaming purposes, but doesn't sound normal for music. You get used to it after awhile, but some parts of songs I've noticed a difference.

I tested my mic with various people on different Ventrilo servers an they've said I sound clear and crisp contrary to my other headsets. They say all they hear is my voice, despite my having a fan running behind me virtually 24/7.

Overall thoughts:
A very good headset for gaming, and ok for music. Very sturdy construction. If only I can replace fatal1ty's signature on the headset with mine :P

Overall I give this headset a 9/10 thus far. Would be a 10 if music sounded as good as games.

First I had a logitech set that died on the right side.

I then bought a rocketfish pair and created a customer support topic on logitech. They said I'd get a replacement if I mailed them my headset. Havn't heard from them since.

A week ago my rocketfish pair broke and I bought the Sennheiser pair on newegg cause I didnt think the warrenty on rocketfish covered it. I got them replaced so then I had 2.

I then saw the creative deal and it was too good to pass up :)

i too got these yesterday from ups ala the 20 dollar sale. The build quality is a step above the regular fatality headset. also, the full circumaural cups are nice.

the sound is 100 percent cleaner than the regular fatalities. the regulars base is just too much, explosions would drown out everything no matter how you set the sound up. the sound can only be described as CLEAN.. i had no complaints on my mic yesterday (and i asked..many times.).

the only con i can think of is that the mic is not detachable on these, but it is able to be moved out of the way.

i use sony studio 600's for music...so i cant comment on their music quality.

i too give them a 9 out 10...if not only for the super sale
