Best video game music ever IMO was in Final Fantasy 8. I enjoy most of that soundtrack. By far the best is the ending theme... not so much that Eyes on Me song... but track 11 of the soundtrack from about the 7:00 mark on is just awesome.

I'd have to say Red Alert I or II soundtracks. There was another game I used to play with amzing music, but I can't remember the name of it.

If you want good music, check newgrounds.com audio portal. Quite a bit of junk, but some really good shit too.

I honestly thought Donkey Kong Country 3 was a dissapointment overall. It was fun, but the storyline and the overall feel of it lacks in comparison to the 2nd one. Not to mention I beat the 3rd one in 1 day in my youth lol.

Final Fantasy has great music :| usually a few classics on the newer but I think FF3 and FF7 have the best.

Metal Gear Solid had a great theme.

For me it was Chrono Cross, Metroid (take your pick there all good), MGS, Frequency,NFS (anyone of em), Legend of Zelda (Oot, TLP,WW, MJM) too many that i can't remember.:D

shit, i forgot about Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Considering it's my absolutely favorite console game, ever. I loooooooooooooooooved the music in it. Was also completely obsessed with it in 8th grade until 10th grade. I actually tried to learn most of the songs on an Ocarina I bought, lol :)

well final fantasy music is the best, i have every cd. and am part of a group that rips music from games. this one guy has like 2 tb just of game music. lol but final fantasy is by far the best.

second is all the need for speeds. just cuz i grew up with them, i had the first NFS for ps1. remember i am 18. lol

also i own a atari... i can remember the number lol but not the first one the black second one. 2 nes's, ps1, xbox, and a pc, oh gamegear, and gameboy

Yeah i have The Prelude as my ringtone. I like it cause it's not loud an obnoxious like most people's ringers...when i get a text though i have the Dethphone ringer from Metalocalypse haha, it's great. Aerith's theme is so pretty. I'm in the middle of finishing Crisis Core on PSP and she makes a couple appearences and it makes me sad she died D:
