lol no I'm not in the market for a new snake right now. The Retic is about to hit that crazy retic growth spurt... well already has, he's grown since that video already. Which means food bill is gonna double and we're gonna have to build a bigger cage for him. The next snake I get will almost definitely be some form of Albino Purple Phase retic... or a GTP.

He's a pain in the ass with food. Started off pre-killing but he just doesn't get interested unless it's moving. It's like he knows there's food, he can smell it and you can tell he's on the hunt, but he just can't seem to find it for some reason. Now.. if it's moving he has a wicked feeding response. So it either has to be alive or I've gotta dangle it with tongs. He's getting big enough now that it makes me nervous to try and use tongs lol :p Plus right now he's just in a very large tank, so there really isn't a good door I can just open for feeding. When I build the cage I'm gonna make 2 "feeding holes" that are used for nothing but feeding. Something just large enough to get a rabbit or whatever through with a set of tongs.

What are you feeding your animals?

the small one is on 2 medium rats, the 2 mid sized are on a jumbo or 2, and the big one is on 2-3 jumbos or a rabbit.

We had 2 rats... stripe and nibbler... one died of a brain tumor and one died of a... well... leg tumor... it grew to engulf the entire damn rat. srsly, the tumor was bigger than the rat itself. It was still happy, but we had to put it down because it couldn't walk anymore :(

The top one and bottom one are both gone now, top one died over night, she had rapid rear leg paralysis, and the bottom one was just really old and we had to put her down cause "it was time" The 2nd one from the top had a tumor removed a while ago, and has another fatty lipoma that I may get removed. I have 3 others that I don't have pictures of yet. They move too fast it's hard to get good pictures and I haven't figured out how to use fast shutter speeds on my digital camera.
