and i like code zeros, like some one said mine would be great for the community but not a LAN, codezeros would and maybe he could change it a bit to actually make it a LAN shirt idk great job though! and there is still 4 days left, so you could still win.

Thanks guys, I really do like a lot of the designs in the comp, including yours Ikem's.

I've done enough design comps in the past though to know that in the end as long as the community picks the winner I'm perfectly content with winning or losing. Mine may actually be a little more expensive to print with the colors and size, so I'm truly not going to be bitter if I lose.

What's really funny though is I think B-Train's could beat us both with a little refinement. it's simple but pretty well done.

I'd vote for ikems, but it's too temporary. As soon as the next gen games come out (in a few months), it's already out of date. TF2 and CS may remain, but the CoD community may move on. or maybe a new game will come into the mix. Thats why I chose codes. Simple, and too the point. May be a little pricey to print since it is double sided, but I think it can be done in an affordable effort.

thats the problem.. it shouldn't be about groupies, it should be about design. the submissions should have been anonymous, but even then that wouldn't have worked most likely.. it's tens of people voting, not hundreds / thousands.

i honestly don't think Ikems fits the LAN shirt style, but w/e. I've been to every stompfest in the last 4 years, and it's been pretty much the same shirt. If this does get used as "the shirt", i hope it only last 1 LAN. cause thats all it'll be good for.

this isn't a lan shirt this is the stompfest community's shirt, like early in the comp, e said not to put a city on there cuz he wanted it to reflect the community, not just the lan. thats how i took it.

No worries though, even if it hit a second round we'd hit the same results I'm sure.

Stompfest's servers cater to the online gaming crowd and thus the online gaming crowd felt your shirt better represented them.

Unfortunately I have to agree with THRASH on that point. I wanted to keep a neutral and competitive spirit to my shirt thinking it was really geared to Stompfest as a whole. Then I kinda realized it was more about the community and SF's servers so throwing in a TF2 logo would have scored my design a higher. I wasn't really in it for the prize as much as the recognition so I've kept quiet about it but I think THRASH nailed it on the head.

Just some food for thought going forward of course, I still love E and everyone else just as much as before, haha.

I suppose I should have mentioned it when I announced the contest. I just assumed people would know, since there are really only a handful of old school LAN guys that visit the forums after a LAN is over. 95% of the forums consist of the online aspect until a new LAN is announced.

Yeah, I guess looking at the last shirt design which was back before the whole newfangled online servers were "it" got me all thinking it was another shirt along those lines.

Like I said though, I'm not shedding a tear or anything. =] I just hope a good shirt design like Ikem, Zog, or Lycosid's wins so I will actually buy and wear one.
