If the teams on both rotation servers are going to be stacked (like they are right now) can you at least allow paying users the privilege of swapping teams and not getting their asses handed to them?

It's a growing problem, and it's not fun.

Ditto...I was on the same team as you for at least one rotation and I did not hear you complain?!

so...you want to become part of the problem? I don't see how joining a dominant team is going to help anything but your points.

w00t all the admins had a looooong thread on this "team stacking" issue and a few notes

1) It is a game
2) Due to the dynamic natural of the game "team stacking" is a judgment call
3) Re: 2 The admins are not to interfere as ones persons judgment is not more right then another
4) If admins see red win dustbowl and the same ppl that where red on dustbowl join red on the next map then they are allowed to move ppl
5) Due to the randomness of how the peoples pc load map and the server keeping the number of players equal the probability of the same team stacking two maps in a row is very very VERY low so admin should rarely move people
6) If that once in a blue moon does occur admins are ONLY allowed to move admins because moving anyone else would be adversely effecting that users game play

Move me whenever you guys want as long as I'm not in the middle of an uber-rush or something.

I also volunteer Antilulz to be moved whenever as well.

hehe thx but keeping track of who admins can and cant move is not something i wish admins to focus on so please just play out out the map or leave and come back after a bathroom break or sex break

Or jerk off break for some pplz lolz *cough E cant get any*

But another factor that comes into play is a person's skill on a certain map. Take myself for instance, I consider myself quite good on Dustbowl and warpath, however I suck on maps like labor and granary. Same scenario comes to other people as well. Like Jokerz said, the odds of a team being stacked in the following map is very low, and my above statement is another variable as to why. One team pwns another, it happens, but wont always happen to the same people.

please note 2fort is 100% different then 30 man and instant respawn as the map does not really change like it does on the other 2 server... but have no fear i have few tricks to help solve the "turtle" issue once we move servers :)

I have to agree with the Mohican. Your subscription gives you a reserved slot and some website privledges. You're just compounding the problem if you intentionally team-stack. Some of us actually try to keep the teams somewhat balanced, even if it means losing 5 maps in a row.

I was there with you...losing some of those 5 maps in a row. It sucked. But it made the win after much more enjoyable. The funny thing was that when I joined, I joined what I thought was the stacked team. Because they were getting rolled!

Why didn't I message an admin? What's the point when it's plainly obvious how imbalanced the game on the 30man server is, and there are admins on the server currently? I might as well point out that grass is green and bears sh*t in the woods.

When I hopped over to the 24-man server, we were joking out loud (both teams) about how imbalanced it was. Another regular SF player and I were messaging back and forth about how much worse it's been getting lately on both servers.

Yes, TF2 is a game. If I sign on and I join a team that's just having their ass handed to them, I'm going to switch servers. Team-stacking isn't fun for the other team.

I'm not very serious about my request to allow subscribers swap teams -- think of it as a modest proposal, ala Jonathan Swift. But if the team imbalance continues to worsen, you will start losing players to other servers.

Please don't try to pass off the idea that there's nothing an admin can do but force-swap the teams. An admin can ask people to voluntary balance things out ... and they can move themselves to the other team. Admins can make it clear that SF servers are intended to be places for fun, competitive gameplay and they can lead by example.

While a understand your issue you have to understand some basic facts about the server

1) we current are Tracking 64,819 players
2) in the course of 1 day 2 maps get played every hour
3) 2 map per hour x 24 hour = 48 maps per day
4) 48 maps per day x 7 days = 336 maps per week
5) 336 maps per week x 4 weeks 1344 map per month

now the small faction of the time any one person is on where "team stacking" happens is very very very very very very small. It is something that happens but in the overall scale it is a small issue. Yes a map ( which has either a max of 2 rounds or for dustdowl 1st to 7 round) might be one side but it will highly unlikes the map after that will be. So either play it out or take a break.

Also to the admins you are not to swap people just let the map play out. Hell you can use the logic of a team steamrolling will end the map faster. We have all been on the receiving end of steam rolling its part of the overall design of the game. ANY server you play on will have stacked teams at one point or another. I do not want the admins to swap people or whatever for that <5% of the time a team is stacked in any given month.
