Yes! From my experiences leading clans and communities you will attract many more future members if your ranks are reset frequently. New people to the servers will just be discouraged if it's impossible for them to be ranked number one without playing many hours on your server!

I highly disagree. Nothing blows harder to a highly skilled player than watch his stats goes down the shitter with one click of the mouse. Why play here if your hard work is gone a few weeks later? We attract all kinds of players, from casual to competitive. Since the casuals don't care about stats anyways, keeping the competitive players on server means not reseting stats, and besides if new players were *actually* competitive, they would see the high ranks as a challenge anyways!

I'm with Anathema on this one. I've read a lot of threads that have covered this topic and the consensus is that we don't want stats reset. We talk about it, but I don't think enough people want it reset for now. I couldn't care less about stats, personally I think I've hit my skill plateu and I'm cool with that. Besides, the top players on this server are gifted. Or jobless. Either way I can't put in the time to climb that high.

How much ya'll wanna bet leo has PM'd eclips asking if he can transfer his stats over from his old account to his new one? Not passing judgment, just saying I don't think I've seen anyone here that cared more about stats than leo. I have nothing against you leo, but man, you love your stats.

I would like my stats reset if it was to the extent that Leo's was performed. A partial reset does not interest me as much. I would want to see my improvements in all areas, not just rank/score. KPD, HS %, etc. etc.

LOL, I will share my application once I get it down... but it will only be good from the point you harvest the data onwards. I am simplifying this with a stat reset. If you want to start collecting the data, PM me. I plan on storing all of this in a database and reviewing trends with my own play statistics. I do not need any nerd commentary, I already know, and so does my extremely attractive wife :P

It is relatively easy to do the analysis of what you are talking about, just a pain to collect all the data in HTML format...E, can you give me a place to download all my playtime events in raw format?:rolleyes: I haven't built any cubes in a while... hope I remember my MDX.:)

I'd still play to be my best, either way, and a reset would help me to not have to worry about getting another (literally)102,000 more points just to get to number 1, if I honestly did care THAT much to be no.1.

I think it would make people more competitive to be online playing to amass points in more so of a "race" if the ranks were reset.

In a way I am en/discouraged to try to attempt to get to being no.1, or be so competitive, but I also know by the time I get another 100K points the org. #1 will have 200K more.....

Points are just an epeen value. I do enjoy seeing how many points I can gain in a day, but in the end its just another number on the internet that means absolutely squat.. so if $20 could be made I wouldn't turn it down.
