Playing Maps TONIGHT 4/23

Tonight at 10cst I'll have a server up to test maps. We'll start with survival and after a couple rounds we can change maps, play BestInClass, lower gravity, turn cheats on, whatever.

If you have any maps you want me to download post them here.

Yeah sorry we disabled the map downloading because the pings were getting to be 900+. My 500k up just isn't enough =P We stopped playing though for tonight. The fpsbanana page is http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/52610 if you still want to download it.

Survival looks really fun to play, you did nice job with it. I wish i would have seen this post sooner, i would have liked to help test it out tonight.

We didn't really play it that much, we kind of just fooled around, but they gave some good ideas for making the map flow better. You're always welcome to download the map and give me suggestions. Or anytime I'm online on steam just send me a message and I'll start a server up.

When I get the new server up I'll gladly toss on a small server for testing maps. I wanna be able to test all maps on a test server of our own before we implement them. We can test yours as well.

Yeah.. i get them confused still.. Indiana only implimented Daylight Savings Time not to long ago actually

Little off topic, but how much bandwidth is needed to run a small ~8-16 person server?

Shoot, I don't even know how to run a dedicated server from my desktop. I've tried...believe me.

I have 3Mb down, 512Kb up, and most people get around a 50-60 ping.

But you have to make sure people are able to download the maps from somewhere else, or only use the valve maps. If people start downloading maps off your server, the pings will skyrocket.

I went to Purdue so I know all about the funky time zones there. Some places followed Day Light Savings Time and some didn't until like two years ago or what ever. Also, Mythbusters was awesome last night. I comepete in Demolition Derbies so them taking out all those cars with that moose was great.
