Stupid Question about efile

If I submit it today am I in the clear since it hasn't been accepted by the Govt ?

I did the return through turbotax and it says it hasn't been accepted it only has been sent .

Yes, submitting today through Turbo Tax is the same thing as a post mark. It just has to be sent to the government by today and you need proof of that. By mail that would be the post mark on the envelope and that is why a lot of post offices stay open until midnight tonight so people can do this. Turbo Tax is apporved by the Feds and submitting it is all you need.
