Allies?

Hello my name is now [77th][Gen.] Cramer/Muad' Dib,

I am the leader of the 77th Infantry Division, we are a relatively new clan and we play Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source. Since we are so small and not so famous, we were wondering if we could become your allies and use your server for a recruiting station. If not we would still appreciate it if you would be our allies.


We were also wondering if we can have 2 channels in your ventrilo server, or 1 is fine, because we need somewhere to meet for our new recruits' school so they can have the oppurtunity to be promoted.


As payment for these favors we would be happy to have your back in ANY scrimmages against other clans.

As for recruiting in our server, probably not. You're all more than welcome to play in our server all the time with your entire clan, and if someone wants to join [77th], then that's cool too, but from what I've seen from your posts, I just don't want it to get annoying to other members.

You seem like a really dedicated kid and I hope your clan goes far. Feel free to practice in our servers as much as you'd like. Just don't bug the regulars about joining your clan. If we see you guys on the server a lot, we may help out with the vent channel.

Indeed, rudeness only begets more rudeness and it pushes those involved down a dark, winding road filled with miscommunication, irritation, and illogical statements. I do think he could've made his inquiry / request a bit more formal, but he -did- ask and didn't just go out and do stuff, you know? Ah, well, I'm a relatively new community member and only really known on the TF2 24 2Fort so pay no mind to me.

I'd personally be interested in helping out with popping on to practice in the pub servers or on your private servers with either DoD:S or TF2. I'm apart of a gaming community called Sanctu Maleficus, but technically it's just an association of close friends who are gamers, so I could probably sub in as a 'temp' per se for your scrims if need be. Just add me on Steam and we'll talk.

As far as Ventrilo would be concerned, it would be my suggestion to talk to Eclyps about possibly arranging a money donation from your clan, the 77th, to the SF community perhaps for ventrilo/arranged server times. In this manner, all parties would most likely benefit, though it would ultimately be up to the SF admins and the community as a whole.
