Thats what I do, I borrow my cousin's PS3 or my friends 360. Last system I bought was a PS2 and I got Resident Evil 2 with it.

you can change out the PS3 harddrive with whatever drive you want. Get a 1TB drive. It'll still work just fine

I dont understand y sony even (seriouslly) "discontinued" the 80gb
It was the best selling than any system.
I have stupid angry ppl coming to me complaining that they cant play with the ps3 60/80(when they return) bc the 40 dont do shit.
This is one reason i hate sony, they make stupid decisions.

BTW i do plan on getting both when i get an actual tv and not use my comp monitor to play either.

lol.. i have an elite xbox360 rigged to play BURNED games and a ps3 to play online cause its free. besides final fantasy 13 and 1080p. i use to think xbox had some badass graphics until i got my 80gig ps3

Why do you use Halo like its a boon for a system? Everyone knows the only reason the game was big was it was the first console FPS with large support for multiplayer, the game is as uninnovative as hell.

Xbox 360 came out well before ps3 thus making it have older games, non 1080p games. now, most of the games that come out now or recently ARE 1080p because the tvs finally support it.

HEY GUYS WITH THE XBOX360!!! Are you going to get that sweet hd-dvd player attachment now that it dropped significantly in price? It might be the one thing you need to compete with everything that a ps3 will outperform you on.

Here are some facts:

Games released for more than one console are programmed for the platform with the lowest marks(aka:360)

Game developers are now starting to release everything multi platform trying to make more money instead of trying to make the best game they can for one system.

xbox360 and ps3 perform at NEARLY the same level. ps3 has a MUCH better processor(cell processor outperforms many supercomputers to date) PS3 jumps ahead because you can help cure cancer(folding@home)

xbox live is a superior online gaming community(it better be you're paying for it)

Basically all you guys are doing is crying about the same shit over and over. If you're just trying to play games you're going to be fine with either system. The only thing you may want to look at is the very few exclusive titles. IMO Halo and Gears of War(sure it looks neat but the controls are *^#$*^#$*^#$*^#$ed) sucked balls but MGS4 and FFXIII are going to blow everyone away.

That being said PS3 is a far better media system. It uses blu-ray 'nuff said. I was going to say more but I stopped caring.


SUMMARY OF MY POST. PS3>XBOX You can argue with me on it all you want but I've been right about these things every time. People told me original xbox was going to suck and look how well it did. People also said hd-dvd was going to be the next media format, it wasn't.


EDIT: oh yeah I forgot. computers = better than both systems. But while the intel quadcores and the phenom outperform a 360's processor they don't come close to the cell processor.
