Already put 4.5 hours into the game... and I'm not done yet. Wal-mart in Plainfield had em in stock 20 mins late therefore the nerd line died down awful quick and we got first picks on the game and strat guide without the hassle of competing with others to get it. Good luck if you haven't made a pre-order.. there were lines in Gamestop, and EB 1 hour later. Stores like Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart are your best bets w/o preorder.. shit is HIIIGH DEMAND! Wait too long and it might be a while longer before you get it.

Controls and feel are nearly the same as Melee. If you played melee prepare to kick ass! Use of the GameCube controller makes it like riding a bike... nunchuck and Wiimote are good.. smeh of disappointment on the classic controller though.

Okay, I am having withdrawls... back to game.

Brawl disappointed me, and I ignored all coverage about it, as best I could anyways, so its not like I am being a victim of hype here.

The game is almost exactly the same as melee with more items, which are more overpowered. Final smashes are *ok*, but they really make it unbalancing if you have a character that can get it every time, or near that. The removal of direction air dodge was the real killer. I understand removal of wave dashing, shffling and all that, but a neutral airdodge can put you into a bad position, whereas if you had directional control, you could come out with an advantaged position over your enemy.

The wiimote controls are good once you get used to them. Alot more comfy compared to the controller anyways.

Don't break your bank for it Eclyps, its not worth buying if you cant afford it, waiting a week or two wont kill you either, i mean it already got pushed back a few times ;)

Im gonna hijack this topic for Friend Code posting, although I don't know if I can play with americans with my japanese copy.

Reserved for friend code when i hook my wii up.

I played it for a bit on sunday. It's really fun, had to play on shadow moses 15 times to get snake who is <3. I want to get jigglypuff unlocked so he/she/it can decimate all :D

I got it Sunday afternoon. Just walked right in to Target and got it. No issue, no hassle. Personally I didn't see what all the hype was about. I liked the original when it came out, but I never did pickup the Gamecube version. Guess I fell victim to the hype of the game, and drought of good Wii games, as I've beaten and traded in all the good ones already.

I love this game! I have yet to play it on my GC wavebird, but will try it tonight. The controls are nice and tight, even on the WiiMote and nunchuk, and the characters all require their own unique style of play. So far, Samus and Olimar have seen the most play time, whereas my short stints on solo play have introduced me to the slower, less graceful, but still powerful style of Bowser. The graphics are good, but not spectacular. However, it does maintain a sturdy 60fps throughout.

I, as well as my wife, enjoy the fact that just about anyone can pick up and play, and remain somewhat competitive with help from the many available power-ups and items and weapons. She and I have started on Subspace Emissary, which features unbelievably cool FMV sequences, as well as allowing for co-op play.

That's about as much as I've played so far, but it seems to be another stellar showing from a first-party Nintendo title.

it is really sweet. yea the gameplay is pretty much melee, but the new characters, levels, items, graphics and features are worth it. easily.

some of the levels are pretty stupid, but theres a lot of good ones that are completely interactive and dynamic in some ways. plus the hours of unlocks insures youll be glued to it for a couple weeks.

the only thing i dont like is adventure mode..could nintendo make that anymore boring? its repetitive/stale as shit.

overall, probably not worth the wait of close to a decade, but obviously still a lot of fun.
