I am sure most of you heard of Garrysmod (GMod). For the ones that havent, its a sandbox modification for the latest engine update of HL2 (EP2/orange box engine). Since the introduction of Lua, GMOD took off allowing 1 game turn into a bunch of other ones. I know most people think GMod as construct, but some of you might play Spacebuild/Roleplay (lol)/Sassilization (Junk Wars)/Zombie Survival, or one of the other gamemodes out there. Just wondering if anyone here plays the game, and what gamemodes do you frequent. I need to document this.

Garrysmod is like the all in one game :D

I am surprised someone commented on this... Its like either people got some grudge against the all in one game, or they dont have $10 to spend on it

I want sooo bad to try GMod, but does it have a steep learning curve? I want to make TF2 comics. >_>

Actually just takes time getting used to all of it. Making comics is tougher because posing a ragdoll (a model with bones and joints, just like normal body structures) is pretty rough. usually people can get on the bandwagon pretty quickly.

Even when you get bored of posing, you can always make contraptions, roleplay, make spaceships and colonize planets, hell even drive a train. I must say, for $10 it is an awesome game.

what do you do, make people and objects in a pic, or can you make a movie? what do you do in general?
do you have to know any sort of programming/coding skills?
can you use other things, like models, from other games not source/valve related?

I want to pick it up, but I just don't really know too much about it. I've seen the steam page and webpage, but never really looked into it.

As for games, I'm waiting for L4D.

I bought 10. Very worth it, haven't ventured into all the modes yet.
