hey guys i just got the 5hv2s (usb). no its not STRICTLY usb, i have an option. my question is, for using a usb headset/headphones, do i NEED to install the drivers? I mean I don't know anyone that does...and also, shouldn't it just be plug-and-play?

idk man. I tend to stay away from usb audio cause it would always get weird on me. :/ Install the drivers to be safe.

you get them on woot? if so, i got the same ones, whenever i tried to use the usb sound, they effed up. so i jused used the single headphone jack.

now im rocking these (http://www.xoxide.com/za51suulgahe.html). much better sound, and i actually notice the 5.1

dont bash USB headsets, acula! Mine are awesome. best headset i've ever had

They are even more awesome with the Creative XFI USB Modulator dongle. 24 BIT Sound for the win!

yeah i did get these...the icemats were actually digging into my jaw and gave me a headache. Plus I broke the headband. Was considering Plantronics and Sennheisers but I went with these. The Mainstream headset :p
