I'm having this god awful issue, that anyone on team 1 can attest to, when running vent and tf2 at the same time.

Vent works fine by itself, but when I'm playing TF2 and running vent in the background I just broadcast this ear piecing static noise. I've searched all around and found that it's a common problem, yet no one can offer and solid fix for it. I updated my soundcard drivers today and that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?

your talk key for vent is bound to something, right? And it's not bound to the same key as the voice key in tf2, right?

i use onboard nvida sound and have not had a problem that others are having. maybe it's a soundcard issue. what sound card do you use? from what i see the ppl that have problems mainly use soundblasters.

I do use sound blaster. Probably doesnt help that its a cheapie too. I should probably look into upgrading, haha.

Any suggestions?
