I didn't want to make this thread because I didn't want anyone to get ideas but after getting shot yesterday while I was cloaked . I found it fishy and looked around for an aimbot and found one. Hopefully VAC has done something and will continue to do so. Maybe someone can contact VAC about this .

I can't right now but will do later today if someone hasn't beat me to it.

well the great thing about TF2 hack currently is the only person that gets head shot's are snipers. So if you see a sniper get crazy amount of head shots and or snapping back and forth its easy to ban.

Plus it just means our admins need to be more active to check snipers.

This has been around for a little while now, and it is a problem, but the server is not going to implode =)

Never did like snipers.

I shot a cloaked blue spy today at the very start of Dustbowl. I was shooting at a soldier and missed by a mile. It was just blind luck on my part or poor luck on his part. There are a lot of bullets flying, it happens.

I would rather pretend that hacks did not exist for TF2, yet.

I did get backstabbed suspiciously on Warpath yesterday. Showed the spy who kild me behind enemy lines, seemed like a long way to run.

On granary I love being a spy and hiding right beside the supply door inside the enemy's base and stabbing people as they come out. Most people don't realize that spys can be hiding in there.

Posting websites with hacks on it on the public forum isn't a very bright idea :/

Even if they don't use it on any of our servers, this is how word spreads.

If they wanted hacks they could get them. That's what we're here for Vit, it's a good heads up for people to know. Especially us... Although I guess PMs are good too.

meh i agree and disagree anyone with half a brain could Google it and if someone wants to cheat they are gonna cheat regardless , of a posted link or not.
also i look at it as a heads up if your gonna we know they are out there we know where you got em and we will not allow it move on to another server.

i do understand your point just tend to look at it form another angle

Yea I know that people with a brain could google it, but even google has its limits. What I mean is that google doesn't always show the sites with the real hacks that actually work and is VAC-free ( Or is continually updated ). Usually you have to type more than "tf2 hacks" to hit the motherload of hack websites with the largest community. This is basically what I meant. Alot of people that search for hacks are kids, pre-teens, or idiots. Let's not make it easier for them :p

The admins are well aware of this going on.

I've had a few shady times where I am obviously cloaked and the person just starts shooting at me for no reason. Makes you kind of go hmmmm.

Oh well, I was foolish to think that tf2 wouldn't turn into counter strike with all the hacks and so on but at least the class I play mostly isn't affected that badly by cheaters.

The admins here seem really level headed too and with the right training in hack detection, things should be fine. I've been banned from enough servers in the past from hot headed admins who just don't like dying.

Leo, don't worry about the hack. We'll just watch out for it on the servers. I'm sure Valve knows about it. They usually take a little time before they start VAC banning, probably just to make sure they ban only the hackers. But that said, there will always be new hacks to replace the old one. They won't ever get rid of them completely. Look at CS. It's been around for a long time now and still they have hackers.

I saw someone walking on air about 20 feet from any building this AM on another server, they were firing into players on the ground. Unsure if it's a hack or, as claimed, 'a glitch'.
