as a whole, EVERYONE that played LOVED this map
and i did too
my only complaints were time
its a 1/2 hour PER cap, and one round last 1 hour and ended in a statemate
the map is set up 2 wins or 6 rounds or 120 min
maybe u should change it to 1 win,3rounds 60 min
just my thoughts cause it doesnt go anywhere after a while and gets kinda boring

in theory it should end after 90 min. The map has a time limit of 90 mins.

Looking at some websites i dont think warpath does NOT listen to the server limit. So i think you keep playing until someone gets two caps.

on the reverse of that last night we had a 2 game win in like 40 mins .. so it depends help teach people to use the map heavy/medics and engies are big
get teles up and have engies keep moving the guns up every chance they get
helps tons for pushing em back to their own re spawn
it is a great map who ever had the idea to add it is brilliant imo

oh yea i love it. I only played it for 15 mins and can see this being a hit on the server. pretty much you turtle you die.
I *MIGHT* lower the spawn time on this one to a few seconds or instant for PURE 30 man carnage..
What do you guys think???

honestly, i would leave instant respawns to the instant respawn server. What's the spawn time at now? I say we keep it at ~12 seconds like the rest of the maps.
Although what's the spawn time for hallofdeath?

Neway what do OTHER ppl but E think of lowering the spawn timer for warpath to make it just that much more crazy?

my my logic is that instant respawn typically = longer rounds due to lack of caps. If people are complaing about the length of rounds already, I imaging it'd be worse with instant spawn.

A very fun map indeed. Used to love it back in TFC. The way it's setup allows for some pretty hardcore defense. I generally like to rush the 4th cap as a spy just to try and keep the enemy defense from getting too beefy.

Yeah, the spawn time makes a huge difference on Warpath. On an instant respawn server I play on, I've only seen Warpath won once ... almost by accident. It's generally a tedious fight over the middle point + the one adjacent to it.

I'm pretty bored with this map ... it often gets stalemated in the center, fighting over the same territory for 45 minutes or more.
Is setting up an sg on the tall roof over cap points 2 or 4 considered an exploit? It seems like engineers aren't meant to go that high :)

Any new maps would be awesome IMO. I played on a custom map server while the SF servers were down and it was so much fun. The maps weren't even that great...but it was still a lot of fun.
You can only play the same 5 maps for so long... 9 days, 15 hours, 16 minutes, and 14 seconds in my case.
I like warpath since I haven't played it a thousand times, hall of death sucks but whatever, I'd still like to see impact_b4 get added.

2) It should have very little in terms of exploits
2a) Wolf is good example of map thats good but to many exploits
3) It should have replay-ability

On which server is RTV in use? It seems to me that the PRO server gets the least saturation during a 24 hours period. Would that make it a candidate for RTV? More possible maps on a server with RTV?
Back in the days before we all started to become blindly loyal to Stompfest (read: slurp the coolaid), what were the criteria that made you try out a server? In my case it was low ping, map that was being played, and the number of victims on the server. Once I found a server that had some decent players on it, I would look for servers that had these better players on it. Hence my coolaid consumption here. The people are consistently (on average) better than what I would encounter (by chance and luck) on another server.
Perhaps I am planting the seed for a "alternate-map" server with RTV on it.

on the norm rot, ive never seen rtv work and if im on, i ask who does and doesnt want to change, i make a tally and then decide what to do, if i change it i usually go to gravelpit/dustbowl since no one complains about those, and if they do, most people tell em to shut up, which makes my life easier lol

not a exploit and the guns are easy taken out by a solider or sniper going up back path
if they where not taken out so easy i might tend to agree to not let em up there also they do not cover the cap so... if you rush a uber at em with a medic and take the fire everyone else can rush into the cap and take the point

It would be nice if the time limit were reduced. Because often times we end up playing for 90+ minutes, because not only do we wait for the timer to go down, but even when its at 0 it still goes, so we wind up playing for 2 hours or more. Thats when the map gets tiring.
Plus votes are glitched so theres no way for a lvl 3 admin to get out of it :(
