hates me!! New Years day my computer just DIED... from the beeps it was giving off, it was the MB that fried. I'm not a patient girl, I didn't want to wait to order a new one online... ooo lucky me CompUSA is going out of business!! They had one MB left that would work... no returns cause they are going out of business...$250 after the 20% off... get it home... hmmm the socket cover says foxconn but its a BFG MB... oh look! someone tried to shove the wrong CPU on it, the pins are all bent, its missing a CMOS jumper and another power cable... now I'm stuck with it! I wanna cry :(

Wow, sorry to hear that... I say take the thing back to the store and get your money back. No way should they be selling it unless it was specifically marked open box or defect or whatever.. Don't take no for an answer, and last resort cry in the store and make a huge scene ;)

for you canadians, CompUSA is going out of business and won't accept ANY returns. Sold as is.

Although, they DID sell you something that was not what they said it was, and it was used and obviously broken.... i duno... chances are they still won't let you return it. Sorry nina... :(

What socket you got? I have a spare socket 775... i'm... uh... not completely sure if it still works. I don't see why it wouldn't though...
