Guitar Hero 3 or Rock Band for xbox 360

Okay wanted to know which one is better. Hubby says rock band received better ratings, but from previous experience I love GH3. From what I can tell Rock band is more geared toward men especially when it comes to the song selection. I can't see me and my girlfriends belting out most of the songs in karaoke fashion unless they come out with some more girly songs....which is likely not going to happen. Although I do like the selection of instruments it's nice to be able to choose. What are your thoughts?

absolutely rock band... I have both. Both are good, but I stopped playing GH3 as soon as I got rockband.

What about from a female perspective...can a girl rock those songs out on the microphone...and still fare well? lol.

Having both I've played through Guitar Hero like 90 times. I didn't finish Rock Band yet. I've played it but the way everything works I like Guitar Hero better. It all depends, I'm used to Guitar Hero a lot more than Rock Band. Plus Rock Band is way too easy. If you're ganna have like 2-3 people playing all the time get Rock Band, plus you get the option of 4 different types of instruments to play instead of just one. I chose Guitar Hero, though, because I just like it better.

in my opinion gh3 is a lot better...i have both and rockband sucks...the drums are horrible...i play drums for a band and i cant get use to that piece of crap...the guitar is terrible too gh3 guitar is better... but the songs on rockband are good but the ones on gh3 are good too..so just get both lol

yea you're obviously full of shit baller because i also play drums in real life and the drums in rockband are probably the most accurate translation of an instrument to a video game. Play those suckers on expert you tool.

Imo Gh3 is great for its single player and co op. Its song list is great (but wtf is with all the euro bands) and its real pretty in Hi-def. Not to mention DragonForce
Rock Band has a really outstanding song list (which they add new stuff every now and then) a majority of them being master tracks (with the exception of 2 me thinks), Character customization, looks really pretty in Hi-Def, has 4 different positions to mess around on (Drums,Vocals ect..), and has a heavy emphasis on co-op.
So it really comes down to it being your choice and your money being spent on what you want.

Thanks guys! Good information there hammy. Anywho I went to several stores in my area and no one has either of them for xbox 360. So I think I'm going to wait until my birthday in Feb and hope that stores have them in stock by then! hehe. Hopefully by then I can make up my mind!

He's got a point there. And don't forget the Rock band guitar doesn't work with GH3.

I've never played rock band but the videos I've seen of people playing Metallica songs looked fuckin awesome. Plus the songs aren't lame covers like they are in GH.

What GH are you talking about?:confused: GH3 only had 3-4 covers and they weren't that bad.

I'd wait a while before buying rock band, let them work the kinks out of the hardware before you buy it, there were having major issues with the guitar, get GH3 rock it out, then after a while snag up rock bands.

Ah now i understand were you are coming from. Yea some of there covers on 1 and 2 were "meh" but voice covering is hard sh!t. Instrumentality it could go both ways. I was impressed that only 3 guys covered Freebird! 1 of just doing Drums, guitar and me thinks vocals.

i hate Harm so go GH3... I've played both and I like both but when interviewing anyone the Activision PR was so much nicer than the guys at Harm. Plus they are just too damn cocky and the biz has too many a holes like that right now so take my vote based on the game and company behind it...

well, i cant really give a comparison becuase i've only played gh3, but that was really fun, and i wouldn't say it's a waste of your money.
