Your rig is similar to mine, the only draw back of your setup is your single PATA HD. The slowest part of any PC is the HD (DVD drive aside). Personally I went with 4 Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K500's in raid 0.

Yeah the only reason I went with it was because on black friday at fry's they were 50$ for both the PATA and SATA version . I was so excited and picked up the PATA version by accident :( I went back and all the SATA's were gone. I'll buy a Raptor when I get some extra cash but for everything it works great. It's 7200.10 so its no slouch but my previous setup was 2 SAS Maxtor Drive's @ 10K RPM @ Raid 0 . I don't notice a different except that the SAS drives were way louder than my drive right now .
