Yea... Hydros

Ok so it is 3am EST and I was cruzing the server lists and saw 10 people playing on the server and the map was Hydro... Well they had been playing for a while or what seemed like a looong time by their conversation, and they wanted a new map, they wanted to be done with the constant back and forth and yet Blue was leading with 1 point and 8mins still left in the game. So the other team said screw it and let Blue win, though some people on Red didn't like this (Feels like an episode of Red vs. Blue Eh?) Anyways so they battle on and 3mins later Blue finally gets their second point out of 3 and most of Red just leaves. So now we are auto-balanced to about 2man a piece and we play the last round in about a min thirty and the rest of them leave. So, finally the server changed maps and I'm the only one on there. Admin came in and we had some fun 1 on 1 matches but ultimately that map just kills the server population, atleast at that time frame and I've heard others say the same. So can we please think of A) Looking at who plays that server and B) Let them pull on if Hydro should stay in? I mean this is BS to have so many people up and leave because of the map taking forever to play. I mean 2forts is the same way and usually we play all the way to the map change but atleast that one is fun and fast paced, Hydros is just like watching a granny (mine if you'd prefer) riding a bicycle across the Great Wall of China. Takes a hella long time and unless Mongolians come to attack it just isn't that entertaining...

FYI: Yes I use the word hella, and I don't want to apply for admin so don't tell me to do that pwease! But anyways if ya can look at it, thanks.

I guess if i am on at that time. And not to caught up on Fort2 24/7 i can jump over there. If you are going to stick with playing are servers at that time. Just add me to steam friends list. x) Just type in under add friends whitecloud20xx. Thanks for telling us.

set up a script to automatically change the map to the most popular when the server reaches a certain amount of users.

or just take it out of rotation and make it only a rockthevote type of map

cool rock on i did add some admins to my friends list (including kilroy) so we should be good in the future, usually i can just bug Jokerz and they come right in but sleep overtook them...

maybe not removing the map altogether but making it a one round thing like one team wins the whole map, then new map

Is it possible to have a set map rotation but allowing a vote system and in that vote system having other maps not in rotation ?
if so this might be a good idea have some additional fun crazy maps outside the normal rotation but accessible through a vote ?

haha I REALLY wanna put up a different server that has a bunch of custom maps on it. I'd rather not fill this one with customs just in case most ppl don't like it. We've got great numbers in there, why make any major changes to it? :)

Maybe I'll set up a custom map server in a couple days.

I voted yes on that poll. But if there's going to be a new server with custom maps only, then I think Hydros should be added back to the normal rotation. Like I said in that thread, there's not many maps to play through and rounds go by so quick that it gets old fast.

Currently I think a team has to win 3 maps to count as a single round in Hydro. Maybe change it so that each map a team wins counts as a round?
