View Full Version : problems with interp...
not sure if this was suppose to happen but for some reason I can't change my rates on the cs:s server. i've found that if i set all my settings to accomodate a 66 tick server that reg is insanely better. this being:
rate 20000
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 66
interp 0.015 or 1/tick rate but lately everytime I've changed the rate it goes back to 0.01 (100 tick settings)
Is this server, CS:S in general, or just me?

turn "read only" off in your cfg
i like playing with cl_interpolate 0 on, i get so shitty fps that it actually lines up hitboxes better for me, unfortunetly i cant play with it at 0 on stompfest :'( plus im really really bad now with the lack of playing ever
hmm....totally forgot cl_interp 0. might have to try that if hit boxes don't seem to be working for me.
cl_interp and cl_interpolate are different commands, but doesnt matter cuz you cant turn cl_interpolate 0 on stompfest it stays at 1 which is lamezor

cl_interp 0.01 > any other interp setting. i want to see someone try to disprove that.

if you look at CAL and zBlock v4.2 beta...it locks your interp at .01 or cl_interp 0.01
as with 1.6 ex_interp 0.01 is CPL default as is for CAL. ex_interp .1 was illegal for a while as people in the older versions of counter-strike would use that to "interp" or people would be "interping." Thus, cl_interp 0.01 in source is the way to go. It is also the most accurate if you shoot at a wall with cl_interp 0.015 or cl_interp 0.017 it won't be nearly as good as cl_interp 0.01. gg

The reason cal and zblock lock it as 0.01 is because its a 100 tick server in which it is the best setting but for a 66 tick server it is not the best

honestly that may be true but that didn't stop me from killing 10 people in like 10 seconds on short A/cat walk whatever you want to call it by myself.
