View Full Version : My thoughts on the new server...

I know it's in its early stage, so I'm not going to comment on anything along those lines.

The only complaint I have are the sounds. One thing I always liked about Stompfest was that it didn't have those annoying sounds whenever someone gets knifed, headshotted, gets a first kill, etc.

I always found them really annoying, and I felt like they took away from the main reason I play CS:S; it's realism (as real as a fun first person shooter can get I mean).

Other than that, I'm loving it, can't wait to see some new maps put up, and I'm so glad to finally have my favorite server back in action!

Thanks for the input, Criesto. I think Jokerz's plan for this server was just a noobfest server for anyone to simply jump in and have random fun. Not meant to be strategic and realistic. Once this gets off the ground we will definitely be getting another CSS server just like the old Stompfest one, so don't you worry. It'll be back in just a bit :)

Also you should be able to turn them off by typing settings or some such

At first I thought it was a good idea. Now... Not so much. :) Ya Criesto is right. But if we're getting a new server like the old one, then sweeeeeeeeet.
