I was planning on getting this board, but read reviews that it has very poor BIOS problems like returning to default when the computer is turned off among other things. Would this still be good to get or does someone recommend something better?

I've got an i650. I don't use it bc it never booted with my quad core (a fairly common issue among others now)
It's just hanging out in my closet. Unused. Lonely. :(

Sell it to Viet, I'm sure he'd appreciate that. :D

I'll sell it to you for $30 + 10 for shipping. If you get it and it doesn't work, keep it and i'll send you your $30 back.
On one hand, you could have a really good board for only 30 bucks. On the other hand, if it's actually dead or doesn't like your processor, you'll be out 10 bucks.

I can only mail $$ now, waiting to activate my bro's paypal. O if it doesn't work I can take my processor off right?

Make sure you have the right socket before you take off your processor / put one in there. I'm pretty sure your old proc doesn't fit in that. Read up on yours and that a little more before you mess with it.

I plan on building from scratch, but using my 8500gt since I just got it to add. I got the case planned out, so I need to find a PSU that can fit and a HDD thats spacious. And I plan on the Intel 2 duo e6600 or the e6700, not sure which one. My cousin is selling a $1200 tv to my bro which we'll use as a monitor, so that should be fun for CS.

Get an E6750...the new stepping is even better and I don't recall the cost on them being all that much inflated.

but its just as good as the other ones right? I want to get a good processor without having to pay like $500+ for it.
