Alright guys, we have a decision to make.

Some of us are still very happy with the New York server. It can keep 100 tick until we have players in the upper 20s and then it starts to drop.

Here at Stompfest, we are dedicated to the quality of our servers, not how many we can jam into one. We're also dedicated to our players, so we're going to leave it up to you. Here are your choices.


-Leave the server the way it is. The drop in tick is not noticeable enough.

-Cut the New York server by 10, making it a 24 man server. This way, the server will always be at a stable 100 tick.


For our Chicago server, we are also considering several mid sized servers with different gameplay. Some GGDM, maybe the new Insurgency Mod, maybe a Fun Map or a 24/7 map. We'll also want to vote on that in the coming days.

I'd say drop the tics and keep the people. I dunno, seems to make more sense to me that way.

If it will hold the tic, drop it. I have a funny feeling though that it'll still end up dropping with 30 people on.

Suggestion: Drop the server to 28 players...that's enough to keep the tick drops off and a few more players...unless both servers are going to be 100 tick. Then 48 slots available is plenty

i say set both servers up the same way!

24 on each.

well keep players in both servers.

i'm honestly not a huge fan of 66 tick. imo dropping the tick will probably ensure more ppl have fun playing together but on the other hand the "fun" they'll be experiencing will be slightly less. if we're gonna go with 2 servers then i see no problems with keeping them 24 man each @ 100 tick. honestly most the maps get kinda crazy anyways with 30 ppl making maps that should be fair one sided and what not. either way, i'm thinking leaving as is is definetly not the way to go. nothing worse than fluctuating tick. even with 66 tick you can adjust for it with settings but if ur server fluctuates greatly there is no adjusting.

Booooo I like the idea of maybe having a server with some custom maps cus honestly dust2/aztec/dust2/office/dust2/office/dust2/aztec gets really boring so itd be cool if there was a small server with maps like contra/losttemple etc.etc.
