View Full Version : Norton AV Detecting A Trojan When I Start Up CS

As some of you know 1st hand Norton thought steam was a Trojan after its last update. To get around this some people had to disable auto project on there temp directory.

Norton has fixed this problem with the false positive. Please run live update to d.l the newest definitions for this fix.

"We are writing in relation to your submission through Symantec's on-line False Positive Dispute Submission form for your Counter-Strike: Source Day of Defeat:Source HL2: Deathmatch software version 1.0 being detected by Symantec Software. In light of further investigation and analysis Symantec is happy to remove this detection from within its products.

The updated detection will be distributed in the next set of virus definitions, available daily, or weekly via LiveUpdate, depending on Symantec product version, or daily from our website at"

Turn off your hax and it goes away. (Or switch to AVG)

If none of you have ever checked it out (yet pay $$ for Symantec Products)....Check out www.pandasoftware.com

I used the corporate edition at home due to I use a 2k3 server x64 and at the time it was A. the first product with support for that OS and B. Pandas are good virus killers.
