resetting server ranks

PLEASE OH PLEASE reset the ranks at some point b/c it's too hard to get anywhere now! i've been in 63 spot for 3 days.

getting anywhere is like trying to drive to atlanta in the morning.

it's up too 5800 and i'm at 3000 in 63rd. anyone who wants to get up in the points has to be either really good or hack for 3 hrs and get up to the top 100.

dude, i started an a new account on this server and got it to rank 60 in 2 days. it's not that hard. resetting ranks just lets ppl think highly of themselves. the longer running stats are the more accurate it is to ur true skills compared to others on the server. if ppl like diM. where to reset his stats he'd b able to climb back up to the top 10 in no time and that's if you reset his stats and make him work it all over. it don't bother me either way. reset them now, later, or never. i really don't worry bout stats that much b/c i know who are better than me and who are not. i don't play that serious in pubs anyways <(^_^<).

Yeah, there's really no point in resetting them. If diM. is ranked that high in just a couple months we'll be resetting every month and no one will ever have any accurate statistics about themselve.

Why reset the stats? I'd never have a true representation of my real k/d ratio if we do it monthly. Rank doesn't matter at all to me b/c it doesn't equal skill. K/D ratio accurately represents skill :)

instead of crying on how you cant get up in ranks, try killing more and dying less. i used the ak for 3 maps straight and added a good 750+ points to my score. thats with atleast a 4:1 + ratio in each map though.

Or play at 3 am with only 6 people on the server. I'm not sure what it is about the low population, but I gain TONS of points in those hours and I just about always lose points on a full server.

Rank list shows how many players have played on the server. People tend to like a solid rank system on a server. You can always come back and gain rank, rather than come back to find that the rank you fought hard for to be lost. It's frustrating to new players and resetting the rank will NOT help you rank higher.

Yeah gaining ranks isn't hard just that your at 100%. I managed to get .03 onto my 1 k/d ratio. So my current rank is all luck compared to those that have a 2.5 k/d ratio. But yeah, don't reset, Mercnet keeps resetting on the fly. I managed to get to #1 for a few days until some bs players showed up.
