Now for a real/funny picture. My wife bought some cherries at the store and one of them had what might be called a parasitic twin. It was a smaller, underdeveloped cherry attatched to a fully developed cherry. My wife looked at it and said, "I'm not putting that in my mouth!". Women, no sense of humor sometimes. This is a real picture I took. My wife, as usual, wanted to know why I was taking pictures of the cherry at all. Because no one would believe me otherwise, DUH!

If she had gotten him first, I'd be cringing in sympathy, then laughing. In a letter to it's DRM buying customers Walmart have confirmed that their DRM servers will be going offline as of Octobre 9th 2008, who could have predicted that DRM would have had flaws like this?
Granted the damage done is not as bad as it could have been as Walmart stopped selling DRM tracks back in February (having only been in operation since August 07) but this news further highlights the pitfalls of paying for DRM, you'll pay now and you'll pay later. Walmart will not be offering to replace your DRM tracks with new downloads from their DRM-free store but instead offer the only bit of advice they can legally give:

Walmart wrote ...
"If you have purchased protected WMA music files from our site prior to Feb 2008, we strongly recommend that you back up your songs by burning them to a recordable audio CD. By backing up your songs, you will be able to access them from any personal computer. This change does not impact songs or albums purchased after Feb 2008, as those are DRM-free. "
