From what I've seen 2nd CSS servers tend to sit empty while one server gets all the traffic. So yeah, my vote went to GG even though I'll never play it.

I'm definitely up for a SMALL ggdm server (16 man 100 tick)

qft. Just because one server stays empty on mercnet doesn't mean it will on stompfest. But I would like to keep this one small so it doesn't draw too large of a crowd from the main server, but will still be fun to play on.

We'll consider it

I think STL would be best, I mean the old STL server is what brought most of us here and it puts the server in the middle of the us giving us a chance at the people farther west, or we could get a STL server working very nicely and get rid of NYC and hten get a TFC server this fall :)

maybe we could add the next server in st. louis (GGDM, maybe?)

How bout make NYC GG then St.Louis the main pub ;)

I just think it'd be better to have our main CSS server in the middle of the country to try and pull a larger crowd in.

I agree, a STL server would be better, but we are not getting any complaints about the current server. We will be testing other locations in the future, though. By completely switching servers, we'll be losing a lot of players, so we kinda wanna keep this once.

Well just an example, how many didn't migrate over due to ping?

I am not keen on the ping, I went from 28 to 52, but having the 100 tick helps quite a bit and the server is just run better. ;)

You'd think that would work if a majority of the population wasn't in NY. Think about it. Until you hit the west coast after Illinois there's a whole lot of nothing.

Obviously you were a geography major in school Dr. Acula. Texas comes to mind as one of those little nothing states?

Dr.Acula, back when we had the server located in St.Louis we drew a very large crowd where it was actually nice to have a reserved slot, they were actually moved, it was after the moving to ATL that the decline of MN started, <3

Texas sucks and I said west coast dumbass. Also Arizona, Nevada and Colorado because I wouldn't want to lump them into the rest of those garbage states.

My point is there isn't a huge populace to the east radiating out from NYC, if you stick the server in the middle we cover a larger area, potentially bringing in more peeps.
