TK's on purpose

just wanna ask why the admins are only kicking players that team damage or tk on purpose instead of banning right away after numerous complaints. for example Timmah was tkin and hitting teammates to 50% health at the start of every rd for 4 rds straight then admin asked him to stop he doesnt gets kicked comes right back in does the same shit gets kicked again then he comes back in kills 2 teamamtes then gets banned. not telling the admins to go ban crazy but the shit happens everyday with someone cause people know they can get away with it for awhile

Well, most of the new admins don't have the ban power but we do get kick. So sometimes kicking is the best we can do but it sounds like maybe they were letting us lower admins handle it till he came back in and started the crap up again then they brought the ban hammer down on his ass.

What stewart said. Also timmah is a moron and was banned. While I would love to take peoples word on <player name> tked me kick him. We have to see it happen regardless of if it happened. You did the right thing by msging me on steam i came in saw it happen and kicked him for 24 hours. As you move from "semi reg" to "regular" i will trust you more ( this goes for all people in SF). Before Mr. Stewart, Acula, and Torrin got admin they where regs. If I came in and they said <player name> is tk'ing or blocking ppl or being a moron i would just kick them no questioned asked. I hope with your on going effort be coming a SF reg you will get that trust. Which at that point you may want to apply for admin.

pretty much as jokerz put it. we're only human and would like to play as well. we see "so and so has attacked a teamate" flash up, but hey, this is a FF server. shit happens all the time. i even, just recently, tk'd 2 teamates in a row by pure accident. shit happens. for the benefit of the doubt we observe players first b4 action is taken. sometimes the ppl intentionally tking are good ppl that just think it's funny to do it. after the kick they find out how serious we are bout it and stop and turn out to be decent players. we don't like to resort to the ban if we don't have to... it's pretty harsh sentence. basically, we prefer probation over life sentencing ppl for the benefit of doubt. trust me when i tell you i'd be happy if i could just go around banning anyone i find playing stupid but then our server would end up empty for fear of the "abusive" admin. it's a tough job, admning. you do ur job well and ur an "abusive" admin and ppl fear you or hate you. you don't do your job and good players that want to have a good day of fun yell at you for being "slow" or "lazy". trust me when i tell you must of us here at SF try. lots of us came from a server where we admined and the admins didn't seem to try anymore. we hate that and that's one of the reasons SF was made. hopefully this will give you a lil insight on what goes on and why we take our "jolly time" with our decisions. also as jokerz says, if we play with you more and find you mature and reliabe we'll tend to listen more to you and act w/out viewing the act ourselves... but don't count on the fact that all admins will do that. ok i've talked way to long...

I understand you completely and i also understand how the admin thing works but as u said "for the benefit of the doubt we observe players first b4 action is taken." the admins kicked him 3 times after warnings and didnt ban him til like the 4th time. that also will keep the people out of ur server i never play there until i know there is a admin on for that reason cause of all the tk happens when a admin isnt around

not all admins have bans/autokicks..so do this
1) observe to see if it's same admin kicking him over and over again...he might not have ban powa
2) check to see if other admins seem to notice the guy being kicked...when ppl spam it's easy to miss msgs
3) if your not sure feel free to msg to admin via admin channel (it's green txt for us so we don't miss it as easy) about hacker/tker
to msg admin in admin channel: push ur type msg key (default y). make a space --> type @ symbol --> anothe space --> ur msg. NOTE: don't abuse this either...2-3 consecituve msgs at max plz.
4) if nothing is being done u can make a post on the forums with the players name and steamID and we can look back into logs to ban/autokick him. to get steam id: in console type status --> search thru list for name and find his steam ID NOTE: example of steam ID: STEAM_0:0:0000000 example of bad steam ID's: 0:0:00000000, steam 0:0:00000.
5) find us in IRC channel so i can come in to banpwn some1. irc channel: #stomfest@gamesure.net
