So, who's planning on goingto the LAN in April?

I know I am, and I'm fairly certain that QuickBunnie is. Textercist wants to go and asked me about carpooling with me/QB. There are enough StompFesters from Columbus that we may be able to get multiple carpools, even.

Anywho, post here if you have interest in carpooling. As we get more details, we can work out travel days/times, hotels, etc.

Also, if anybody is planning on flying into the area, keep Columbus open as an option when looking at pricing, etc. I know I'd be willing to pick people up from Port Columbus International (airport code CMH), though that'll require a little extra planning.

CARPOOLS:
QuickBunnie +1 (plan on arriving for dinner Friday)
Glork +2? (plan on arriving for dinner Friday)

I'm real interested in carpooling, to save money for on gas/hotels for everyone involved. If we get enough people to do second carpool my car seats four as well, good size trunk.

If I end up going I'd be down. I've got a sunfire in very good repair if people need me to drive, it's done much longer trips.

(my only rule is that I don't take gas money if I drive)

I'm Asian so I can't drive to the lan because.....well....People would die.

I'm currently at OSU and I am looking for a ride. I'll gladly put in some money for gas and I'll be nice enough to make sandwiches for the ride there; assuming the driver would be down with letting us eat in his/her car.

I will not be rooming with you however, I already have plans set up with some people to room with them.

If you can accommodate me then please send me an email at parrish.203@buckeyemail.osu.edu because I don't check private messages on here.
Thanks ^_^

I'm about 95% certain I'm gonna go and if so Imma just drive myself, I've got a '04 tiburon and could fit two more people including myself, maybe three but it would be a really tight fit.

dude monlee no way you could fit 4 people in your tiburon, 3 would still wouldn't sit comfortably due to the back seat being tiny.

I could fit three others if we all had lcd monitors, I've had to pack my car up with a lot more than 3 other people going to a lan with computers. Wouldn't be comfortable with 3 others, but could work.

I'm his brother. No way in hell Bryan. My head hits the roof when I'm sitting in the back. If you plan to bring more than a single passenger in that car, they better ahve a laptop and be small and not mind a cramped ass space.

Zach also doesn't count when counting people in a car.

whatever, if you hippies insist then I guess I only have room for one person besides me, maybe two.

I might be interested in getting in on this action. I'd love to go to the lan, but I don't want to drive all the way from Maryland to Indy, but driving to Columbus wouldn't be too big of a deal. (also, I only have a laptop/keyboard/mouse, so I don't take up too much extra trunk space)

Kilted, if your interested you're welcome to ride with me. Since you don't have much stuff then I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to get one more to ride with us other than you and myself, let me know.

hell Kilted if you'll drive to C-bus you're practically in Indy. It's the easiest, flatest, no turns at all straightest 2 1/2 hours ever.

Only 2.5 hours? Huh, I thought it was further. Maybe I'll go the whole way then. Of course, this is if I decide I can go, which isn't set in stone yet.

I have a 07 Toyota Yaris hatchback. So I can comfortably fit 10-12 people with desktops. 9-11 if you are really fat.

I kid. Back seats are surprisingly roomy but no trunk space if the back seat is up. So probably only one more will get to see the glory of my carputer.

Anyone a little farther north (cleveland area) thinking about going? I still don't know yet, but want to keep options open.

I'm definitely planning on it, but I'll have a better idea if I can or not whenever registration opens up.

OK, so LAN registration is getting full. I'm bumping this thread because I know a couple people haven't registered yet because they don't have rides set. Let's get this coordinated and I'll get Glork to edit the OP so we can figure out who's taking who.

I'm going for sure, and I can take 1 more person with me.

Post if you are driving and how many people you can take, or if you need a ride. Some people's status has changed since early Feb, so go ahead and post again.

EDIT: Looks like Glork's on it, OP has current information as to rides available.

I was planning on driving and can comfortably take two people. Alternately, I could just ride with QB and leave you fools to fend for yourselves. :P

EDIT: Keep in mind that QB and I were both planning on driving over on Friday evening for the pre-LAN dinner.

I'm still not decided yet about going, but I know I won't be able to go to the pre lan dinner friday, the Wailers are coming to columbus that night.

If I could I would love to, but I had to sell my car so I don't know if I'll have access to a car then or not, would love to be able to go to the lan though

Ahhh, okay. Well, if somebody can give you a ride Sat morning, would you be willing to commit to registering and going? As of right now, Glork and I are planning on leaving Friday, but I would be willing to bet that somebody may be driving from Cbus to Indy that Saturday.
