Where does this happen at? You're website is rather skimpy on details.

We will gladly put in UT2k4. We could even do tournaments for it and all. We really don't have any set games yet, and during the whole party you can play any other games you would like. Sorry if the Website doesn't have all the info needed. I'm still working on it. Haven't had too much time to do it as of late. So... It will be held at the Galveston Community Center. It's not too far north of Kokomo. The place is in the Galveston park along state road 18 I believe. I'm not too good with directions, that's why i want a map on the site. I recommend that you call me or email me well in advance of the party because we plan to meet everyone, if it's not too much of a drive, before the event. That way we can also get a partial payment in advance. This will help us get snacks and the hubs we need before the day of the party. We will also have a day before the party purely for setting up. No gaming will be going on on this day. I also recommend that you come and set up that day. by wed oct 6, i will be doing a major update on info to the site. We're workin on gettin some dedicated servers and whatnot. I didn't mean to say hubs. we'd be using switches and servers. I'm still accepting advice from anyone willing to help. We are still in head deep for this party. Being the first one we'll be doin, we are not sure about a lot of things. So any help is usefull help. I plan to get people to possibly prepay for the party, that way we can get some of the better stuff then if some didn't. But thanks for mentioning that. (note to self, put that in the site) lol. well keep postin, always looking for help.

If this is your first event, then I highly recommend that you visit the IndyGamers event in Indianapolis on Oct 16th-17th first, and then maybe Stompfest before attempting your own. IndyGamers is a 100 person event and everyone there is super-helpful in terms of advice. All the local LAN organizers always attend too so you can effectively market your event.

I can't say how much I recommend you and your staff see how a 100 person LAN is run before you try to run an event with more than 10 people.

indy gamers is the place

well - almost ANY FPS game - INDYGAMERS are all over it

plus - like Code said - ask anyone in there...
they'll have your head spinning (in the right direction) with more info than you can count

also - if you come to SF - you'll see how to run a HUGE lan
then - it gets real fun!!!

Thanks again for the advice. I am working VERY VERY VERY HARD on trying to go to the indygammers lan. Softgod told me to at the kga party. The only problem is, my marching band has reginal competition on the saturday that it begins. I won't be able to leave there till about 6 pm being the latest i believe. Secondly is, i gotta find a ride. I think DeadEye from my staff can take me. He's planning on going to. So all i need possibly is the 15 bucks. Which even on that i believe i have covered too. Working at my school to run wires for security. So i really really really hope i can go to it. gonna try for the stompfest party also. I just wanna get as much info for mine as humanly possibly. Thanks a lot for all the responses.
