I haven't watched TV intensively (more than 1 hour) per week for over a year. I see TV as useless now. I occasionally watch the Universe on the history channel, but yea. Numb3rs is pretty much the only show i am willing to watch. I see that learning stuff (reading books), doing a hobby, or just bettering myself/doing other work is better. What are your takes on this?

I don't really watch to much tv I have it on a lot but it's usually for background noise and or noise to help me fall asleep. As for reading I have issues with it because no matter how interesting I find a book I tend to pass out like 5 pages in. I do how ever enjoy doing hobbies.

Only thing Tv is good for is watching movies and Gaming monitor. I use my 52 flat panel plasma for a second monitor. Nothing like L4D or Shatter Horizon in full 1080p. I use a hdmi cable from my Computer to my Tv. Also use fiber optics hooked to my sound system. So no nothing good on Tv well at lease not that I know of.

My Computer is my tv.

and my lack of a life.

But seriously, I sometimes flick on the tv when eating lunch and watch whatevers on, but normally I just curl up in bed with my laptop and watch whatever I want to watch on there, it's much easier.

And more comfy too! =)

I don't watch tv anymore either, I download the shows and then I don't see them at all, but sometimes when I'm tired of my computer I sit on my living room and watch tv while eating pringles.

I sometimes do that, but I don't sit to watch TV. I sit doing work, surfing, and gaming. Beds ftw.

I'm not a huge TV guy. But I love watching my Premium Subscriptions on FIOS while going to bed.

My that is a short bed.
And that big dip in the mattress can't be good for your back.

The mattress is terrible. Hopefully I'll be getting a new one in a few months... I've been hating it for the past 1.5 or so years...

I watch a lot of TV, but not on TV, on the computer. I really like sitting down with a handful of episodes, or a new series to watch, and watch a few episodes in a row. It's all commercial free so it feels like one big movie.

Speaking of which, I find most movies annoying because there just isn't enough time to develop a story line, or a real attachment to characters in one movie... Some of them are good at getting points or short stories across, but they just don't have that impact like a good TV series does. (Children of men was really fucking good though).

I mean StarWars was 6 movies, about 12 hours total, thats basically a short first season of a TV series.

Oh, and it has to be a drama/scifi. While I'll occasionally watch South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons if its on the real TV, or if I see it somewhere on a streaming site... I have a hard time sitting down and watching more than one episode in a row...
