Dayton LANfest announces their partnership with World Cyber Games for August event
Upwards of $50,000 worth of trips and prizes to be given away
Dayton, OH, June 5th, 2004: Dayton LANfest has been chosen by World Cyber Games, the Olympics of electronic gaming, to host a U.S.A. Midwest tournament qualifier. During the weekend of August 28th, 2004, the WCG will conduct six PC based and 2 Xbox based tournaments within the DLf event. Seating opens at 240 available spots.
The following tournaments will be hosted.
· Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
· FIFA Soccer 2004
· Need For Speed: Underground
· Star Craft: Brood War
· Unreal Tournament 2004
· WarCraft III: Frozen Throne
· Xbox Halo
· Xbox Project Gotham Racing 2
The top Counter-Strike team of five and the top two players of all other tournaments will receive air travel and accommodation to Anaheim, California for the national finals.
