Pretty nasty storm

Lots of tornadoes landed around where I live. Got pretty bad at times... Was anyone else affected in any way? If you were watching NBC at one point, you would have seen the nursing home roof ripped apart and people stuck in their rooms and beds while the rescue workers moved things off of them.

Tornado landed less than 5 miles away from here, anyone else close?

Thankfully we didn't get an tornados close to me but like the whole state of IL was like red on the weather radar :o. It was lookin pretty crappy. Tornado siren went off once but nothin happened, just a whole bunch of tree limbs down.

It was close to my house, but not as close as the one 2 years ago. That one was about a 1/4 mile from my house, this one came through a mile or two to the south of my house. Quite a bit of damage to McCordsville, but nothing major mostly tree limbs and the roof of the VP.

Only picked up a little garbage in my yard this time, mostly twigs and a little insulation. Last time (2 yrs ago) I had two bags full of insulation, wood, and glass chunks to pick up. Wife and I and the two dogs sat it out in the bathroom..... got real hot in there with the four of us.

Yup. I feel like being outside and have been looking for excuses and some small projects.

Small and large projects I got a plenty. I need to rewire the popup camper, I need to change the belts and brakes on my truck, I need to work on the Jeep, and my wife has a whole list of stuff that "needs" to be done on the inside....

Well, the tornado got 2 houses 2-3 doors down from me condemned. If the school behind me wasn't there, I wouldn't have a house to live in right now. Cause of it, the tornado jumped and landed again right after the highway. Still had a crapload of stuff to clean.
