but, not all come from file shares. One of my system during the march6 event has hit with the blaster. It was my boy's system and I had never tasken it on the road before.

Nimda is another good example.

Just put your PC on the lan with no firewall and BOOM nimda's got ya, if you don't have the securty patch from MS then you WILL reload your OS. blaster, yep got that 135 open? I'll bet 99.9% do. well say hello to that one.

now I do do the 21 pretty heavy, and I always see atleast 1 here and there.

Sorry that you got hit, I still had no antivirus running, and I "did" have file shares open with write access and I'm virus free. I might also add that I did a complete windows reinstall thursday night so I do not have the Blaster patch from Windows. I ran a online scan last night and I checked out. Are you sure the virus didn't come from something other than the LAN? (not accusing, just asking)

this is odd, after I posted this my phone went crazy from client I support. It seems that a new virus just came out that slips through nav def with todays date.

the netsky K, it was just fixed at 5:45 pm from nav and was cought.

Heheheh Flagg. I feel you bro. I work technical support for over 2000+ apartment communities with AIMCO. I support seriously computer illiterate people. From viruses to spyware, every day is teh_suck.
