I'm newb to the Stompfest scene so I'm not entirely familiar with the way things are run with your LAN. I'm really looking forward to the event and was wondering if there's a schedule of events set yet, and if not, if there will be one and when it'll be posted.
Thanks.

Also, forgot to include, I e-mailed the two main admins yesterday asking if I could set up a BF tourney with your help. Hopefully you received that e-mail and we can get something going to include in the schedule. Please let me know.

Some sponsors are still coordinating with us on what they want to do during certain times, so it may be hard to give a solid schedule.
Also I got the BF mail ands will respond soon.

The sponsors are dictating your schedule? That seems odd. Is it your event or theirs? Why not build a schedule with "Sponsor Activity" blocks throughout the day and then let them pick the blocks they want? It would be a lot like doing TV advertising.

No no no, the tournaments are going to be set by Stompfest and the sponsors are working around it. However, I wanted to give a good idea for everyone to know what they're doing and when so the attendees can plan dinner and lunch around it.
Trust me, DFI's session you will NOT want to miss.

Ah, makes sense. Is there an ETA on that schedule, perchance?

Official tournament schedule is now up:
Tournaments (http://www.stompfest.com/events.phtml#Tournament)
Click on each tournament for the time.
Counter-strike, BF1942 and other unofficial tournies are up to the organizers who are running them to schedule at the event.
The sponsor stuff is not going to be scheduled after all. Due to tournaments running over or ending early, we decided against nailing down a certain time until the day of the event.

Chenbro has donated Xpider cases (1 color each) and I think another sponsor has a prize as well. I really can't confirm till I get to SF and open the boxes. I forget if they sent 6 for CoD or 5 for CS. LOL. It's just that busy when your dealing with nearly 40 sponsors.
[iG]OrnX, [iG]Hardcore (Dr2-Matt-www.dr2.net), and Brizad will be running the tourney.

I have a question about the CoD tourney rules. We have 6 or 7 guys that will be on our team. In order for everyone to get to play we will be switching out if we win, but the rules seem to indicate that only the five players in the opening match are allowed to continue. Some clarification would be appreciated. :)

i'm rather angry about the wc3 tourny starting so late. i understand that the lan doesn't end until 2pm on sunday but for the people traveling several hours to get back home on sunday i know for a fact that it wouldn't be smart to stay too late into sunday and this is why i would like the wc3 tournament to start earlier than its current scheduled time.
i can see why it would be set for 11am sunday no doubt because this would allow people to sleep and then come back sunday morning for the last tournament but for the [Epi] group for example we're all taking off at noon sunday thus there is no way in hell we could participate in the one tournament that a chunk of us are REALLY interested in. is there any chance that the wc3 tournament could start earlier? (you could start it 4 hours earlier and not conflict AT ALL with the other tournaments.)

Unfortunately, the same 5 people on the team who are registered for the tournament will be the only ones allowed to play. I understand that it can be difficult and upsetting because of people who have to leave and overall balancing of the team, but we have run into problems where people have been abusing that flexibility.

I'm sorry that you are angry. We built the schedule based on how long tournaments could take, sponsor activities, rest/free game time, CS time, and other things. Unfortunately, WC3 ended up on the tail end of things. But this give everyone a chance to be in almost every tournament. The event actually ends at 7 pm not 2 pm! You don't have to pack it up that early.

I don't want to sound like a complainer - which in this setting, someone who posts a lot usually is labeled - but I would also like to see the tourney moved up to 9:00a.m. or something a little earlier. That's the only tourney I give a $hit about and it would make the 6-7 hour ride there and back much more worth it. Don't get the wrong impression, I'm still looking forward to the fest and getting a chance to meet you guys very much, but I'm just hoping that there may be some flexibility on this topic.

Will there be an aloted time for a dinner break? The group of guys I am meeting there would like to go for dinner around 6pmish. I am just curious so that I can make our dinner reservations. Thanks

Dinner break's aren't really "allotted" because every open bit of time is used to play non-tournament games, or give away prizes (and omg do we have a lot of prizes). Most of us plan our dinner get togethers at Steak and Shake and around like 11:00pm or later.
However, I know not every thing is open that late and not everyone can live on nachos till that time. So we'll see what we can do about allotting an hour without going on.

If you're going for just the tournament and prizes, then you are going for the wrong reason.
Go to play games and just have fun, the prizes and swag are just bonuses as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe that's why I don't play CS, too serious.
As for distance away, I don't know how far away each person travels but I know I rank up there, I run about 4hrs to make it to Indy, but well worth it.
The moral of this rant is, just let the stompfest guys take care of everything, and try not to make it any more difficult than what it already is.
Just my .02, take it or leave it :D

Yah, we now have a woman flying in from Florida, and another guy driving out from Kansas.
I think we've almost pulled people from every state.
