Does any1 know what specs i should generally have. I have right now a dell with 2.2gigs, 256 ram, and some intle graphics card. tell me what i should do to upgrade.:cool:

I'd get another 256 RAM in there atleast... not sure what graphic card you have.

Pre GeForce 2/ATI 9500 is not of much use these days. Alot of upcoming games will be DirectX9 so IF you gotta upgrade I'd save and get something with DX9 support. Make sure your motherboard can handle it though.. if not then just wait till you can afford a new system.

most dells dont ship without an AGP port... and that intel graphics card is a built-on video *no 3d support*

you're pretty much shit outa luck when it comes to upgrading, dells sucks so much ass, only option you have is get a PCI graphics card.

Yeah, find folks around that can help you out, there are many that have parted out dells, gateways and compaqs and put into a nice new case.

My sons friend has a dell that is pretty much like yours, needs a little more ram and a better video card.

Makes me laugh when Dell sells someone a 2.0ghz machine with only 128 or 256 megs of ram. Happened to my cousin too.
